Summary: Bought the unit to watch TV movies without interrupting others. The sound is average. Even with the transmitter directly in front of me I still get static when I turn my head. The sound level is low and I turn the volume all the way up to watch movies. During quiet times in the movie, you can hear a lot of "noise". Not as good as I expected from the other reviews.
Summary: I recently purchased the RS130 headphones for listening to cable television and BluRay movies without disturbing other family members. So far, in my limited listening experience, I have been reasonably happy with the sound quality and comfort of these headphones. However, one thing that I find annoying, and didn't read in other reviews, has to do with the connection options.
Summary: I bought these headphones in order to watch the football games in my house without disturbing "she who says games are like fingernails on a chalkboard." The only negatives are: 1) If I turn the volume up others can still hear the TV. 2) The battery dies after about 1 1/2 hours (before the game is over.) At first there was a high pitch noise but that was remedied by turning the volume down on the headphones and up on the tv.
Summary: I have had these headphonse now for around 6 months. After using them extensively, I feel qualified to give a good, experienced review. I use these nearly every night so as to not disturb my wife while I either watch a movie or play video games (which of course makes these headphones one of the best investments I have ever made, regardless of the rest of the review :) I have been a long time audiophile, having recorded 3 studio music albums and being an avid movie and...
Summary: These headphones are worth the $105 Amazon charges, but not the $170 MSRP. While within the room containing the receiver, the RF hiss is very tolerable and unnoticeable while music is played, the sound produced is very clear with good bass; and gee, how great it is to be free of those pesky wires. However, the most notable letdowns are the range with just a few walls in between, and the volume cap.
Summary: My requirement for headphones is different than most other reviewers have mentioned. My wife and I want to be able to watch movies after the baby is in bed. Having two people hooked up by wires to the Home Theater Receiver seemed uncomfortable and clumsy. This setup allows us both to watch/listen to a movie without waking the baby and without tripping over headphone wires in the dark when one person gets up for a snack.
Summary: I was looking for wireless headphones to wear at work - when I opened up the box I couldn't believe how large they were (felt like I was back in high school in the 70's). There was no way I could wear these at my office, so I returned them...with no problems I might add. So my 3 star rating has nothing to do with the sound quality or anything. Before buying online you may want to visit a brick and mortar and take a look at the physical size of headphones.
Summary: They sound very good , great reception even when i am in the yard . they wore on very comfortable but was just way too big on my head . in todays world you would figure they would build wireless headphones that would be a little more slim & weigh less . i returned them to amazon & invested in the sennheiser hd595.
Summary: I bought this model in addition to RS 140 model. It's OK, though the earphones are not very comfortable. Wiresless connection is average. There are constant noises in the background, though still in the reasonable limits.
Summary: My hearing isn't as good as my wife's, so to end the hassle of trying to find a TV sound level that we can both live with, I bought these headphones. On the positive side they produce relatively good sound that carries a long distance. You can trot off to the kitchen or bathroom and hear the TV all the way. I also love the way you recharge these by just hanging them on the rack on the transmitter. The volume control is also a must have.
