This recert = extremely used and dirty

arthur s., Newegg
5 January 2010
  • Summary: New egg rep understood my concerns and allowed return for store credit. Am currently searching for NEW RS130's or RS160's
  • Pros: Came in original packaging.
  • Cons: Many to list but I will stick with top 3 gripes. Corroded battery compartment and contacts. Ear cushions appeared to have dandruff and hair in them. Top head cushion was either stained or severly faded from heavy use.

Looks like they were used for 2 years prior

Scott H., Newegg
4 January 2010
  • Pros: None
  • Cons: Battery compartment completely filled with corrosion. Ear muffs "stained" with who knows what, no batteries provided. Overall the unit looks like someone used them for multiple years and then returned them to be sold as refurb'd.

User Review

PATRICK W., Newegg
29 December 2009
  • Summary: If you want a good sounding headphone this is it
  • Pros: I have two pair of these Sennheiser head phones now and the first set I got to watch TV with out turning up the volume and they worked so well I got another set to put on my computer for when I play games. NOW as for the commits that “useless to city dwellers” left I want you all to no that I liv...

problem with rechargeable batteries

Anne G., Newegg
25 December 2009
  • Pros: I have had another set of these for several years, and have appreciated their dependable performance. Attached to the TV, they give better sound than the regular speakers, and let folks in the rest of the house remain undisturbed.
  • Cons: This pair arrived (12/24/09) with dead rechargeable batteries. Because I have an identical set, i was able to isolate the problem; otherwise I could only have told that this set didn't worK. Out of mfg. warranty -- so what does "recertified" mean? I can return to Newegg, but eventually someone wi...

WOW! Awsome! A++ for Sennheiser

Christopher T., Newegg
8 November 2009
  • Summary: I am quite pleased with my purchase. These were bought because my sony headphones decided to partially die. My sony's could only make it about 15 feet b4 fading out of range, these headphones just keep on going. For the price these headphones are far superior in every way to my sony IR set.
  • Pros: These are pretty dang sweet! They get excellent range. With the receiver in the living room I was able to go to the bathroom and upstairs and outside all while jamming to my music *minor static here and there, when far away or something was blocking the signal like the refrigerator* It has multip...
  • Cons: 1.They are big, prepare to look like you have a boombox attached to each ear. 2. They get a little uncomfortable after 1 1/2 hours or so 3. The volume button is very close to the channel search button, I accidentally start searching for diff channel when i want to turn it down. Easy fix.. just ad...

Hear here!!!!!

Christopher E., Newegg
19 September 2009
  • Pros: Got these for my dad, who is most hard hearing. We couldn't carry on a conversation in the living room if he was watching TV. He never takes them off. He wears them to the bathroom so he doesn't miss anything.
  • Cons: None

Great Headphones!

Benjamin S., Newegg
31 December 2008
  • Summary: Great Headphones from a great company! You will not be disappointed if you get these!
  • Pros: These are amazing! They are light weight so they don't bother your head. The ears are very soft and fit over my ears great! The charging station is really easy, just put the headphones on it and in an hour or so the headphones are completely charged and ready for several hours of music. You can u...
  • Cons: Some interference if you turn the volume on the headset up and the source volume down. To correct this, keep the headphones about 50% volume then adjust the source to change how loud they are. Wish these had an Optical input.

16 December 2008
  • Pros: Great sound quality, and comfortable to wear. Used primarily with TV for Tivo and Guitar Hero. Wife wears while exercising.
  • Cons: Battery saving features turns off after a period of no audio, which was an issue using this Teamspeak.

Don't expect much

Jerry C., Newegg
13 November 2008
  • Summary: This is my third set of wireless headphones over the past decade. None of them have great wireless reception so don't expect much. If you need them these should be OK.
  • Pros: I can listen to TV (news, sports) while I do other things without disturbing others. The audio quality is good enough and they are comfortable. Used many hours each day for over a year without any problems, except reception.
  • Cons: Beyond 15 feet these will cut in and out, depending on orientation. They work 50 feet away if I turn and keep my head positioned just right.
