excellent value

  • Summary: These are an excellent value for the price, compared to other noise cancelling headphones. There are trade-offs, however. These block out less noise than over the ear versions but are more comfortable. Also, the batter;y compartment is somewhat bulky and clumsy to handle, although the tangle of wires is easily managed if one wraps extra wire around the pocket clip of the battery holder.

  • Summary: I did a lot of research before purchasing noise canceling headphones for myself. I wanted them mainly for my long oversees fligths, but also for use at home while working on my computer. I am glad I chose Sennheiser PXC250. The sound quality is great and the noise blocking on the airplane was amazing! They are a little tight on my head, but fit perfect for my husband. He is planning on borrowing them for his next trip.

  • Summary: I do frequent long flights (10+ hours). The PXC 250 has changed my flight experience quite a bit. The noise reduction function is very effective. The music becomes real music, instead of "organized noise" on top of the airplane engine noise. And I didn't have to constantly guess what was said in a movie anymore. Not sure if it is totally the doing of PXC 250, but long flights have become less tired for me.

  • Summary: Brilliant open sound and these work well on aircraft by reducing the "drone" of the engines. They are physically smaller than the Bose equivalent and easy to carry on in hand luggage.
