Moderately effective against noisy bodily functions
7 February 2014
Summary: I bought a pair of these to try to make working in a noisy crowded office more tolerable. My conclusions so far: - Air conditioning noise, computer fan noise: very effective at screening out this low frequency noise. - Talking, shouting: partially effective at screening this out, particularly with co-workers with deep voices.
Summary: I purchased these on recommendation from a work colleague. They are brilliant at keeping noise out and sound quality is really good but after wearing them for a few hours one ear will become painful. If anyone has a solution to this problem I'd like to hear it. If they were comfortable I would give them 5 stars.
Summary: According to the information supplied with these headphones, they are designed to reduce low frequency sound and they do reduce a portion of this type of noise. Other more expensive over ear headphones can eleminate all noise. The advertising doesn't mention that it's only low frequency noise that it can work on. It also mentions 'passive attenuation' whereas it's actually 'active' with little mics that pick up the noise and try cancel it.
