Summary: Do not get this headset unless you are considering amplifying it. It sounds bad without an amp.
My Experience: These cans sound nice when amplified/ bad when not amped. Good highs, okay lows, overall pretty good sound. They are closed and will block out the outside world.

Cons: Bass is lacking, sound bad without amplification, non serviceable cable
Conclusion: Amazing packaging – check, very comfortable – check, amazing in game and out of game sound quality – check; did they make this headset JUST for me? Sennheiser has set the bar for high end gaming headsets.
