Summary: It is the first headset I've purchased, so I don't really have anything to compare it to. I would say it has pretty good sound quality, but I haven't yet made any calls with it so I don't have anybody's opinion on my sound. One thing that bothers me is that anyone near me can hear everything I'm hearing, just a little bit quieter.
Summary: Firstly, I decided to put on my Frankenstein's monster mask to eliminate any self image confusion bought on by the grotesque and strangely square shaped headband. Whoever designed or hired a monster to design the headband on this gaming headset needs to be fired, it's a good job that I only use these whilst hiding in my secret gaming cave, far from the reaches of human civilization.
Summary: This is a good budget but quality gaming headset. I personally use this for Skyping and the mic is great quality and the sound is excellent as you would expect from Sennheiser - I have always used them in the past. The only thing letting them down is they arent the most comfortable unfortunately, they feel a tad rigid for long periods of time and have a basic pad headband - They are great if you aren't going to be wearing them for hours - If you're a more serious skyper...
Summary: Although the Sennheiser PC310 is described as a gaming headset it is also suitable for a number of other PC or consul uses; Skype and speech-recognition applications being two of the most popular with me. The headset comes with a VERY long cable - 3 metres! - So is handy if you want to sit across the room from your gaming consul, but may just get in the way for normal computer use; a couple of detachable cables in different lengths would have been useful.
Basic entry gaming headset - there are cheaper options

Summary: I have had quite a few gaming headsets in my time including Turtle Beach (X11 which are wired headsets for PC/Xbox and X3 and XP400 which are wireless headsets), Plantronics ( Plantronics X40 GameCom XBox 360 Corded Stereo Headset - White ) being an avid PC and XBox gamer. I found this gaming headset very basic and actually preferred the Plantronics headset which is a little over half the price of this one.
OK for sound, excellent mic, but I found them uncomfortable

Summary: Sennheiser is a famous name for headphones, and these gaming headphones certainly feel well made. I also like the way the microphone boom twists neatly out of the way when not required. Cable length is a generous 3m, ideal for console users sitting back a little way from the TV, though the downside is that the extra length can get in the way if, for example, you are sitting at the PC.
Summary: This headset is almost identical to my old Sennheiser headset apart from the new 310 G4ME tag. Therefore this headset wasn't made for gamers... but is still a great headset, hence the reason I bought a new one after my old one died. The major downside to this set is the lack of an in-line volume control and mute switch. I've come across quite a few headsets in my time I have just come to expect such an addition with any half decent headset.
