Better than you think...

Steve E., Newegg

  • Pros: I've been wearing this headset for about 6 years now. I've gone through maybe 6 pairs of them. When my current one breaks, I'll buy another. They are VERY comfortable. It takes maybe one session to break them in but then they just fit. You wont find a better behind the neck headset than these.
  • Cons: Sound quality isnt amazing. But then, real audiophiles aren't using headsets anyway. This headset is a great choice for ventrilo/skype and some casual movie/game/music listening. Microphone quality is exceptional, I'm heard clearly without any static interference or echo.

Good

  • Pros: Long cord. The shape of the "over-ear" is perfect. Sound is fine, it works well for the price.
  • Cons: Mute switch doesn't always turn back on, has to be wiggled. The frame, that goes around behind the head is VERY flexible, and it feels like its going to twist/snap/break each time i take them off.

  • Summary: Good price for a headset.
  • Pros: Nice sound quality with deep bass and high ends. Feels comfatable when using for long gaming sessions due to the fact that contact to the ear is not forced on you by the design of the frame. Gaming buddies report that the voice quality in our vent channel is extremelly good.
  • Cons: Jacks are not very well reinforced...carelessness could result in breaking the connection to the pins if pulled out by wire.

  • Summary: I bought this as a replacement for a failing Logitech Internet Chat headset, which lasted 2 years for me. However, I do own quite a few regular ear/headphones (minus the microphone), most of them closed-ear and some open. I play CS:S, TF2, Guild Wars, etc.
  • Pros: Detailed highs and lows, in music and gaming (for a headset). Much better sound than I anticipated, but (like other reviews) not as good as other Sennheiser-brand products. I use a lot of Skype, Ventrilo, and in-game voice chat, so I have been getting a lot of feedback from close friends saying m...
  • Cons: Missing bass (not surprising) and some mid-tones. Definitely has better bass than the Logitechs I am replacing (see below). Uncomfortable pinch on the ears (I use a lot of behind-the-neck/over-the-ear headphones w/o microphones and this one pinches more than the others). Cord definitely feels fli...

Works great

  • Pros: Great headphones for the price, reasonablly comfortable, and the mic works great. The mic rotates up or down, so it's awesome if you are eating or something and playing a game at the same time.
  • Cons: Sound quality is limited but still sounds fine considering the price.
