Good For Price

  • Excerpt: Not the most comfortable fit. Have to move them around head to seat on ears in a decent way. Good sound quality for price. Fell fragile, but are probably just because of being lightweight.

Well designed and made but ...

  • Excerpt: Had hoped to use this for quick and dirty voice-over and narration. For[$]you can't expect a broadcast quality headset, so maybe I had my expectations too high, but I was disapointed by the sound quality of the microphone. I'm sure it sounds no worse than other headsets in the same price range.

Cheap headset with good sound

Barbara M., Newegg
26 August 2013
  • Summary: Really good quality for the cost.
  • Pros: Worked perfectly until my cats ate the cables. Nothing fancy, just high quality stereo sound and a very clear mic for such an inexpensive headset
  • Cons: A bit flimsy, but it also helps it take a good number of drops and stomps. I didn't treat this headset kindly and it just kept on working.

Nice sound

12 February 2013
  • Excerpt: Ordered one this to test its performance. Although sound quality is good in the earphones and mic, the isolation is only adequate. Ended up returning these and ordered the PC-151. Note that the connector isn't USB, although an adaptor could be purchased for this purpose.

User Review

Helene L., Newegg
3 February 2013
  • Summary: I wish Newegg carried the ones that go behind the head, you can't even feel you're wearing them. These over-the-head ones hurt after a few minutes/hours.
  • Pros: Quality item. Well built, sounds great; both in your ears, as well as the microphone according to others)
  • Cons: I had the version of these that goes behind the head (instead of over the head) and they didn't hurt the ears like this model does. 3 Eggs only because of the massive discomfort. If they can make comfortable ones, why not make these ones comfy too? If you can find the version that goes behind the...

Simplifies video editing

Joe, B&H Photo
19 November 2012
  • Excerpt: Not satisfied with video direct from my camcorder, I edit it with Pinacle Studio, adding sound tracks and voice over. My standard PC microphone always seemed inadaquate. This headset/microphone combo does a much better job on voiceover.

They are awful for gaming or music.

David T., Newegg
1 October 2012
  • Summary: I could have returned it, but it would have being wrong, as it does work, the only problem is that is bad. I'll gift it.
  • Pros: Small, comfortable, have a mic.
  • Cons: The audio is pretty bad, compared with the other headset they are selling for 30 without a mic. I sat on that one before by accident..... I have a better Ear Force X12 now though.

Solid VOIP headset

  • Excerpt: Because this headset isn't USB you can be sure it will work with your legacy equipment. Sound quality is better than average. Built very well. I like the rubber mic boom

  • Summary: Pay the extra, get the PC161 or better.
  • Pros: Sound is decent, microphone sounds ok.
  • Cons: The quality of the construction is pitiful at best. They do not fit your head well and are not comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. Sennheiser PC161 are only slightly more and 40x better build quality.

not a good buy

Russ L., Newegg
8 April 2012
  • Summary: I have bought at least 40 Sennheiser headphones in the last 10 years, this model is by far the worst. I would suggest getting the PC 151 for a few dollars more, the PC 151 is 10 times the quality
  • Pros: lightweight, long cord
  • Cons: both the ear cushions came off in 5 weeks. the sound quality is average
