Summary: I've had less expensive Sennheiser headphones in the past so I had high hopes for this model. If I had paid $200 for the Momentums, I would have given them a better review. They were competent, but nothing more. I don't need a lot of bass, but I like it to be sharp, and the bass from these headphones had a muddy quality to it. I like to hear a lot of clarity in my music and felt that it was hard to pick out individual instruments when I listened to these headphones.
Summary: Style is very nice, I really like the aluminum head band, and real leather material. However I don't like the fact that the headphones are cannot be folded and have to be put in the smallest setting to store in the included case, which is huge!. A big negative for me is this thing hurt badly after ~30 minutes listening session, I'm an eyeglass wearer, the headphone presses my ear against the eyeglass causing a lot of pain. Adjustable angle cable is gimmick really..
Summary: 1 star for material, the other for the sound. Cons: - A portable headphone without a portable case, that make the high quality case lack scope for its ability. - Poor ergonomic design, the earcups go vertical, and the adjustment is limited. - Small earcups, major axis of interior earcup is as well as one AAA battery's length plus one fingertip's width. Over-ear headphone should be universal, I don't know why Sennheiser make it confined.
Summary: I wish that I could sit the designer of these phones down and ask him why he/she had assumed that we all posses ears the size of Bilbo Baggins? The Momentums are...momentous, but time after time I have read the same criticism that these bad boys are just too small. This just in...they are!!! I went to the trouble of ordering mine from the company web-site. I'd tried them at a friend's house and they seemed great.
Summary: This will be a very brief review because unless I discover otherwise, I will be returning these headphones to Amazon because the inline controls for smartphones do not work for Android phones; or at least my Motorola Droid 3. For $350, this shouldn't be an issue. The Sennheiser website has no info on phone compatibility but I purchased on faith given the company's rep (plus I've owned three sets of Sennheisers previously and have always been happy).
I'm simply shocked...
Summary: I looked at all the pictures of men wearing these on the advert... I don't know if they just picked tiny people for the advertising, but these are much smaller than I expected and not very comfortable. I've returned them, which is a shame because I'm a big sennheiser fan and the sound is great.
