Summary: I have looked at lots of headphones that I could control my ipod with, but nothing comes anywhere close to the Sennheiser MM550-X. It dose everything I needed and more, I have not had chance to test the noise cancelling feature as yet. The head band tends to stick out quite a bit at the sides, perhaps to accommodate a large hair style? a small price to pay. I have spoken to Sennheiser themselves a few times and they are excellent and very helpfull.
Summary: Obviously, there are better quality headphones available on wire. However, the sound you get from these is incredible compared to other BT headphones Ive tried. The lows and mids both sound great, and you can tell that something is making these phones stick out, whether it's the Apt-x codec or not i don't have a clue, yet i am incredibly happy with this purchase to pair with my bluetooth devices. IMPORTANT NOTE.
Excellent headphones - but beware iPhone connectivity issues

Summary: These headphones are wonderful - unfortunately, there is a serious problem in the Apple iOS6 software leading to intermittent (quarter second) cut-outs in the audio every few minutes. Not the fault of the headphones, but I had to use an external Kokkia bluetooth dongle to fix the problem. Which rather defeats the object of having an Apple device with built-in bluetooth.
Summary: very comfortable on the ears used it for several hours. the noise cancelling is perfect, weight wise i think is just right .. kinda reminds you that you got something on. as for the apt-x havent got a transmitter for that yet... once i get the next galaxy phone then i will but even without it the sound system is good... although it seems you cant use the SRS at the same time as the noise cancellation.. please someone correct me on this if i am wrong.
Summary: Best place to start with these headphones is the price point, its a little high but you do get exactly what you pay for. The sound quality is excellent and the issue with volume actually is not a problem, at least not for anything I have used the headphones on, through bluetooth I simply max the volume on my phone / bluetooth dongle and then use the volume control on the headset, and the headphones actually hurt my ears on full volume I am forced to lower it down...
Summary: Brilliant product, noise cancelling is good and sound quality is fantastic. Works brilliantly with blue tooth on mobile phone for on the move used. Fold down flat to fit easily in a jacket pocket. Worth every penny.
Summary: I was only used to wired headsets, but haven't owned any for several years. I've been quite used to the in-ear type. But recently everyone's enjoying sounds using the headsets and I thought I'd search for a decent pair. I researched extensively, and remember testing the Bose QC15s a friend had about a year ago. I do remember they were really good with the noise cancellation. But I decided to invest and have the bluetooth option and selected the Sennheiser MM550-X.
One of those rare times blowing a huge amount of money didnt bother me
