Excerpt: Sennheiser is a renowned brand in the hi-fi world. I personally own and love the HD650 over-ears from Sennheiser, and when I was looking for a new set of portable headphones the IE80 IEMs were at the top of my list. There are great and much more detailed reviews for this product here at BH and across the web. This is just my personal opinion as a music fan (with a sound engineering degree and radio DJ background).
Pros: Durable, Good Bass, Great Sound
Cons: Falls Off/Out Of Ear, Too Much Ambient Noise, Uncomfortable
Excerpt: I have cycled through a number of ear buds through the years and most recently upgraded to the Shure 315's only to return them for these. For me, I listen to rock/metal and even some country. I love the guitar sound and mids, but when I listen to music I want it to sound like a concert. I now understand the difference between the flat frequency Shure's and these.
Pros: Comfortable, Good Bass, Great Sound, Lightweight
Excerpt: I don't like bands over my head and these seemed to be a nice compromise with the ear clips to hold the earpieces in place. Unfortunately I was unable to get the ear pieces to be inserted comfortably even with exchanging the soft tips. I must have small ears. The sound quality was really distinct and crisp but not the best for the bass end. I think these are great for classical, pop, etc but not so good for rock and roll.
Conclusion: The Sennheiser IE 80 headphones are awesome. I gave it 5 stars in every category except features, because it would've been nice to have a built-in microphone for calls and/or volume and playback controls. Those are not deal breakers for me, and honestly I don't really need them, but a lot of headphones include those features currently. Bottom line is if you are a music lover of all types, these are your headphones.
Excerpt: I am using Headphones by Sennheiser every day in my life. At the work to get pleasure by listen quiet, comfartable music. At the home to be inspired by rock, pop, instrumental music.I have never heard th sound like from this Headphones by Sennheiser. It's not just great, it's amazing, powerful, crystalline sound. I was able to hear sound, instruments which I did nnot hear before on my regular headphones.Everything done perfect. Cable, connecter, headphones.
Pros: Comfortable, Compact, Good Bass, Great Sound, Stylish
Summary: I love these little beasts. I pair them with my goto player the Colorfly C3 (Hidden Gem) -
If you have a good source track these little iem's shine - the sound is pristine and crystal clear - They have a lovely wide soundstage way out of proportion to their size; The Bass is a little weak but the high and mids shine.
Pros: Massive Soundstage - crystal clear sound
Cons: Weak in Bass - though adjustable they are too heavy if pushed too high
Summary: This is my first high-and in-ear monitor. It changed my hobby. IE80 made me realized the difference between crappy earphones and good earphones is huge. I'm addicted to audio stuff now...and it all begins with this stunning earphone.
Pros: rich and warm sound, gd bass, clear, sweet treble
Cons: isolation, not comfortable enough, not detail enough
Summary: IE80 has a warm sound overall, crisp high and punchy bass. The "bass knob" was the best part for me since I am not a basshead so I only turn the knob to halfway. many people said the main issue was isolation but it really depends on where u used it, for me the isolation was enough in train and buses(maybe I dont like total isolation).
