Excerpt: They have a great sound and a long distance! We were wanting them for live recordings so we don't get tangled in wires... but there is a slight delay. Enough to be quite annoying and makes recording not possible.
Pros: Comfortable, Compact, Good Bass, Good Value, Great Sound
Conclusion: These are the same headphones that come with the RS160. They provide excellent sound quality for TV, home theater, or just about any sound source. On many sites, purchasers of HDR 160/170/180 headphones have complained that the phones don't pair properly with the transmitter and/or won't work with...

Conclusion: I purchased these to upgrade to a better wireless headset. These are great. I now choose to listen to TV over these as they are better than the speakers I have on my tv. I am losing my hearing, and these are clear and bring out sounds I haven't heard in years.
Conclusion: Good, hi fidelity sound, good bass response. But after 30 minutes or so, my ears begin to hurt & I find myself pulling them away for relief. Earbuds might be better for those 2 hr movies. Pairing 2 headphones with the transmitter not intuitive. Have directions handy.
Summary: Cheap, cheap cheap. The instructions are a waste of time. Don't expect to remove the batteries often or you will be putting tape to hold the pads in place. CRUTCHFIELD sold me a TV which supposedly worked with these head phones. Except the jack didn't fit the hole in the back.
Pros: They operate --- with jack inserted sideways.
Cons: Bad instructions. Pads had a battery cover affixed by cheap plastic slots into which a snap was inserted. The life of these will be short if you have to remove the batteries and may not even hold up to putting the phone on and off your head. Why not screws for another dime a unit? The controls fo...
Summary: After a month of readily using these headphones almost every day (we have a baby in our small space), we are very thankful we got these headphones. And we also finally think we know how to use them properly. The sound is quite good for both movies and regular TV.
Pros: 1) Other brands eg Sony - transmitter only has SINGLE mode. So cannot add headphones - not even for your significant other. Sennheiser allows up to 4 headphones. 2) This model has an "attenuator" button to punch up the volume on the dialogue. It is quite helpful when you're watching loud movies s...
Cons: 1) Printed instructions are terrible. The online instructions are better but still not clear enough to know exactly how to set up multiple headphones. Took a couple weeks of using it and being frustrated at times when I had guests over but the headphones didn't seem to want to work. 2) Perhaps on...
Summary: The sound is very good however the instructions are very Bad. I had to search the Sennheiser website to find out how to pair these with the transmitter. No instructions were included with the headphones.
Excerpt: I purchased this product to add on to my RS160 (headset + transmitter). It was exactly what I expected. Unfortunately, paring was a bit hard to understand. They seemed to make the transmitter work in a single mode and multi-headset mode which is controlled by the power button.
