Excerpt: After sampling most of the high end headphones at the chain tech shops, and then extensive research online, we chose to order these without having heard them. After receiving them, their sound quality is truly high end, and the construction features of this model are a match to the sound quality. Their durability, coupled with the easily replaceable cords seem to suggest we will get many years of great sound without losing their structural components.
Summary: I recently parted with my V-Moda Crossfade M-100 DJ Headphones and decided to move into something new. I had heard a lot about the Sennheiser HD 8 DJ and had a chance to own a pair for a Discount so I went for it!
When I received them I was very pleasantly surprised that they came very well packaged by Sennheiser. They also have 2 cords (1 Straight and 1 Coiled) and an extra set of Soft Studio (breathable) Pads for those long nights of Producing in the dark.
Pros: Carry Case, 2 Cord Selections Exceptional Build Quality Great for Beat Mixing
Cons: Longer than expected Burn-in Period 2 sessions x 10 hours
Summary: Sennheiser HD 8 DJ Review Preface:I am NOT a DJ so I dont fully understand this product in the light of its intended application SO I am hesitant to call this a review because I am not a DJ. I am an individual who listens mainly to every music genre that the modern DJ is known to produce/mix etc including but not limited to EDM, Hip Hop, R&B,glitch hop, Dub-Step, Reggae, Electronic Music and similar.
Pros: bass, sound quality, accessories, priced right though expensive

Summary: I ordered these expecting excellence seeing as all the headphones I have ordered from sennheiser have been, they arrived quickly and very well packaged (if a bit over packaged). In the box were all that was stated to be there by sennheiser and the box and headphones were well presented as usual.
Summary: Just bought a pair today, totally blown away !! Detail and bass extension are incredible, but not in an uncontrolled and messy way, would consider these an excellent set of studio reference headphones and to be honest are just great to listen to. Have tried the KEF M500 's which are superb but these are more detailed, not as portable but would recommend anyone to listen to these not just DJ's....
Summary: First of all, these will be compared to a pair of headphones that I already own and love - Custom One Pros. If you want a short review: Bassy (not boomy), great vocals and awesome highs, without them being tedious. A long review: BASS Jesus. I thought my COP were bassy. These aren't as boomy, but the bass slams the side of your head with no distortion - something that can't be said about the custom one pros. It's deep, strong and hard - everything you want bass to be.
