Summary: I have had S HD 515 more than 2 months and more I listen, more happy I am. Before I bought it, I had Bose around ear headphones which delivered sound with too much bass, not so crisp high tones and not very good stage. I paid for Bose 110 euro while I bought HD 515 for 90 euros. Before I bought 515 I read very different feedbacks from users.
Excerpt: I recently purchased an MP3 player and while it came with decent earbuds I decided to replace them. After much consideration I chose the Sennheiser Hi-Fi Stereo Headphones (HD515). These headphones are some of the more comfortable things I have had on my head. The ear pads are fit snugly over the ears. The cord is about 3 meters in length which is good. The biggest thing about headphones is the sound.
Excerpt: "The Sennheiser HD 515s offer you; Sennheisers innovative E.A.R. technology which ensures that sound is accurately and effectively channelled to your ears, a fairly light and very comfortable frame (only 255 grams) and a great introduction to high-end hi-fi listening. Excerpt: I've been using headphones for music listening for 40 some odd years and these are the best yet. I've tried them all Sony, Bose, Koss you name it, at this price you can't beet the sound quality.
Pros: Great Sound!! Bass, Midrange And Highs all outstanding!!
Excerpt: I've been using Sennheiser headphones for about 17 years I would say. I have 3 pair now, my very very old HD40 still sound great, and my HDR65 wireless headphones are going on 2 years old now and still have great battery life range and great sound for wireless. My new HD515's are incredible, they fit so comfortably right out of the box and the sound is everything I've come to expect from Sennheiser.
Excerpt: We needed these headphones for a listening program through Advanced Brain Technologies. This unit was one of the three they recommended. I called Sennheiser (the product information person there was very helpful) and he said that although it was less expensive than the other Sennheiser model ABT recommended, it was better for portable CD players, etc. Then I looked on Pricegrabber to find the best price.
Pros: Great sound quality; lightweight and the fit is so comfortable, you forget they're on
Cons: Not the most attractive design I saw around, but the other features more than make up for it
Excerpt: I use the headphones to listen to CDs on my home stereo and find the sound quality excellent. Music sounds crystal clear and crisp through these. These are lightweight and designed very well; I really like the anti-tangle cord too.
Excerpt: "...I brough a pair of Sennheiser HD500's from Comet at the end of last year for half price (£35, due to a damaged box) so I could listen to tunes at work. I was amazed at how fantastic they sounded so I decided to buy a pair for home. The wife is pregnant so is going to bed early. Playing music without phones is not an option as she will hear it so I brought a pair to be able to listen to music and the TV when she was in bed. After some research (not ...
