Sennheiser- always a good choice

Bill the Music Dad, J&R
31 December 2010
  • Summary: The quality of the Sennheiser HD series has always been impressive- my 30 yr old HD40's are still in use. Sound and style are both winners here. It was worth it to see the big smile on my sons face when he gave them his first listen. Couldn't be happier with them- they'll be with his for his evening rollerblading and ice skating runs.

  • Summary: I bought these to listen to lectures in grad school. They work amazingly in that respect. On top of that, started to listen to some of my favorite songs and movies, and heard things I never heard before. Was never a big audiophile, but I now want to listen to new songs with these head phones to see the difference.

9 November 2010
  • Summary: The way I use this prouct: I play piano at receptions especially around around the holidays and I needed a good pair of headphones that aren't too expenseive. Thing that are great about it: It works great with my iPod Touch, I though at first the volume needed to be increased becuase of the amplification on the iPod, but for me I didn't need to crank the volume high.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Bass, Good Value, Great Sound, Lightweight, Stylish
  • Cons: Cord too long, Needs a cord wrapper

I love these 'phones!

Jim D., J&R
20 July 2010
  • Summary: My last headphones were Sennheiser, which were fine, but in time they wore out, and the connection went bad from my stepping on the cord all the time. So I ordered a pair from [...] which looked snappy and felt okay, but did not have the sound I wanted: they were bass-heavy, and plainly meant for pop music, or rock and roll, while my music of choice is classical. (They went back.

User Review

john a Audio Enthusiast, Audio Review
4 January 2010
  • Summary: I have had S HD 515 more than 2 months and more I listen, more happy I am. Before I bought it, I had Bose around ear headphones which delivered sound with too much bass, not so crisp high tones and not very good stage. I paid for Bose 110 euro while I bought HD 515 for 90 euros. Before I bought 515 I read very different feedbacks from users.

More than I'd hoped

suzi, J&R
30 December 2009
  • Summary: I bought these headphones, after quite a bit of research, for my teenaged son who is a musician planning to study music education in college. He absolutely loves them. He says there are many parts to the music he listens to (primarily modern rock and alternative) that he had not heard before. He has had earphones that have come with many MP3 players he's had in the past, and he was using the phones that came with his Zune. He uses these primarily with his Zune.

  • Summary: At the price, I know I could not have done any better. Breaking in these headphones has been a great experience. Makes me want to get Sennheiser's top of the line for professional use eventually, but will be happy with these indefinitely for personal use. Not for the gym though!

Comfortable, Stylish, & Phenomenal Sound

holybananas, Beach Audio
29 September 2009
  • Summary: I chose this product because the sound quality was said to be great, and it is great. One of my main concerns with headphones are keeping them on my head while I wear my glasses. I need my glasses all the time, and when I wear these headphones, there is no discomfort or major major shifting of my glasses. The headphones are sturdy enough that I can adjust them on my head and they will not fall off.
