Summary: Listen up, literally! You JUST don't know unless you can compare a few sets, and I bought a few sets including this one, the Sony "monitoring headphones" MDR-V150 (Bassy and flat in mids and highs), the "Ice tech Vibe" (Electronically rumble with AAA batteries, gaming only, terrible music sound...
Pros: Durable, comfortable, long cord, very good bass handling (tight and punchy) with crisp mids and highs.
Cons: Wasn't free? (I always thought that was silly (sic) and here I said it)
Summary: This was my first pair of headphones. I had a pair for gaming back in 2002. Going to countless tournaments, these headphones took some heavy abuse but served me well for almost 2 years. I also enjoyed it for music quite often. Should these be compared to other Sennheiser line-ups? By all means, NO!
Pros: Good sound for its price, especially in bass department. Very sturdy, yet flexible. Easy on the eyes. Great for gaming. Extremely comfortable.
Cons: Mine died after 2 years of heavy use and abuse but other than that, for this price? NONE!
Summary: I originally had a pair of Sxxy headphones that I used b/c they were built like a rock (plastic with a solid design). But the sound was just lacking in bass. So I bought these headphones for their price and look initially. I must say, these headphones sound AWESOME and are extremely comfortable!
Summary: These are great headphones. I had to buy new ones because my old pair broke. They are so much better, and they are cheaper. Their bass is awesome, it doesn't sound bad like my others. My only problem is that the others got loud enough to hurt my ears, these don't.
