  • Summary: i've had a pair of these since the mid-90s. i used them intensively for years as a roving radio reporter: you can dismantle them in seconds so they take up almost no space in a bag   i've also used them for long periods while editing: they're comfy and have a neutral sound which means the ambient sound is very clear   one nice thing is the cable attachments: they use a socket rather than a fixed joint.
  • Pros: reliability and simplcity, easy to dismantle and reassemble - with a nice cable that doesn't break when you tread on it by accident :)
  • Cons: slight sound leakage from surroundings, and the ear pads wear out, but are very easy to replace

  • Summary: I bought these for a song (1 euro) at a flea market, but needed to buy new replacement pads (13 euros). I think it's certainly money well spent.   The sound from these headphones is balanced, accurate, fairly musical, and what I would consider to be quite neutral. Like other senns, it doesn't get harsh anywhere in the range, but at the same time everything is there from the top highs to the lows.
  • Pros: Never fatigues
  • Cons: Poor lower bass extension

  • Summary: These were my very first headphones, and ten year old me selected them by listening to demo models. If I'd been able to, I would have gone for the higher models because they had better treble, but the bass and mids on these were great. I had these for a decade or so until my brother just announced he was taking them and walked off with them.
  • Pros: Look and sound great
  • Cons: Out of production
