Summary: Awesome headphones, and although they are sometimes uncomfortable, that's just a good reminder to take a break from my work! I would definitely recommend these.
Pros: Although I am not an "audiophile", I am a classical musician who is very used to listening to a variety of music on a variety of speakers, and I can truly say that these headphones sound very good. These headphones replaced a Sony pair on which the plug had broken off, and at first I was a bit worried that the very thin cord might cause some problems, but I have had these headphones for several months now, and there is now sign of wear even after heavy use (my worksta...
Cons: I wear glasses, and these headphones do get slightly uncomfortable after long periods of time, which is the reason I detract one egg from my rating.
Summary: Ok, so I get home and I find the box. I'm excited. I tear open the box and run down stairs, plug them into my computer and put them on. I turn on some Tool (The Patient) and wait eagerly as the song progresses but it sounds bassless and just cheesy. That's when I realize the sound isn't coming from the headphones, but the monitor. (I'm an idiot.) So I change the settings and BAM! I get hit with a wall of bass. A LOT more than what I was expecting.
Summary: For the price, these headphones are AMAZING. The bass is enhanced to a point that any song that has a lot of bass will sound how it should, but not so much that that the Bass is overpowering. The treble is proportionate to the base, so the headphones provide a balanced listening experience that few headphones in this price range can match. During a comparison, i found the bass on the Hd 428s to be comparable to that of the Monster Beats Studio Headphones.
Summary: - bought them at local electronics store BB.. NewEgg is slightly cheaper and I <3 them, just was in a pinch :)
Pros: Sound great; incredible difference in comparison to stock stuff & anything around the 20-30 $ range. It's really worth a few extra bucks to hear audio closer to the way it was heard when it was mixed.
Cons: - biggest con is cord length. I've found shure always appropriately lengths their cords, and others sometimes come with an extension; this cord/cable is NOT long enough for typical usage. Only long enough to be comfortable for maybe mp3 in a car, pocket, airplane or something.
