Excerpt: Not the most comfortable for long periods, but great isolation. I use them for field recording and studio tracking. For the former, they fold up really well, making the kit a little easier to haul around.
Excerpt: These Sennheiser HD 280 Pro headphones were recommended by a friend who does lots of studio work. They sound great, seem to be built to last, and are comfortable to wear. What more do you want?
Pros: Clear Sound, Durable, Easy To Use, Lightweight
Excerpt: I am a video editor and needed a good set of headphones as my old ones died. I had purchased a cheap set of Skull Candy headphones (I know I know--I was a broke college student so give me a break). The 280s were recommended to me by a friend who is a professional videographer. I must admit these are wonderful. I had hoped for something that was noise-canceling as the Skull Candies were like having two Solo cups on my ears with a string between them.
Summary: These are really designed more with audio engineers and musicians in mind. I bought these for home studio use and they do the job that I bought them for.. and do it well. Providing a good deal of detail, especially for the money, they have a fairly flat, even response throughout the humanly audible range of frequencies (like good monitor headphones/speakers are supposed to). I'm not saying that they can't be used for pure listening enjoyment.
Pros: sound quality, more than decent durability, fairly revealing (mixing/mastering on budget) high quality monitors for music professionals and honest sound for everyone, good value
Cons: a hard carrying case would have been cool; a straight cable to compliment the curly one would be nice as well
Excerpt: These seem to be a very nice pair of headphones for a reasonable price. I found them to be comfortable and not overly heavy, and the sound seems clear and well balanced. It is also very nice that they come with a 1/4 inch jack adaptor. They are not the most attractive pair of headphones I have seen, but if you want a decent pair of headphones and don't want to pay hundreds of dollars, these should work just fine.
