Sennheiser HD 280 Pro Headphones

  • Excerpt: Sennheiser’s HD 280s are a perennial favorite among budget-minded audiophiles. And listening to their balanced, flat tonal presentation you can see why. If there’s any hint of coloration (anywhere), I certainly couldn’t find it. That’s great if you happen to be mixing an album. It’s not so great if you just want a pair of general purpose cans to play some highly compressed audio files on. Granted, plenty of people love a clinical headphone.

  • Excerpt: The Sennheiser HD 280 PRO are an affordable pair of headphones that have a closed back circumaural technology. You can purchase these headphones for around 105 USD online. I was at first on the fence with the HD 280 PRO because I could not get a good mix with using them. But after a while I started to get use to them and then decided they weren’...

"Buy AKG 240s instead" - chrislieck

  • Excerpt: These are over rated. I don't like any headphones that you can't do a basic mix down on. These type of headphone have a great deal of misrepresentation on the low end. I think that they boost the lows more than you really hear. They are not flat and that is what you need. I would get a pair of AKG 240's instead. There was no headroom in thes...

" Good Medium or after the use" - clems_

  • Excerpt: For me the words "pro" means nothing on this headphone. It is a closed headphone, which supports many studio sessions with Zikos sourdingues. The frequency response is highly variable depending on the headphone preamp (the low impedance 64Ohms ???). For example on my old M-Audio FW410 it sounds hollow, the bass is really absent, bu...

  • Excerpt: I will be fast because I just tried today, the score of 5 corresponds to a 9 / 10 for sound, clean and not "muddy" as on other models of the brand, and 1 / 10 for comfort! frankly, this price is the abuse! it seems to have the head is enclosed in a! after 5 minutes has become dsagrable, I guess after 2 hours !!!!! I have a HD 200, HD202 ...
