Great Bass Response/Great Sound Isolatio

dj steve, B&H Photo
13 December 2011
  • Excerpt: Picked these up for DJing in loud bar. Super happy with the sound isolation, I was able to hear my cue clearly, while being able to feel the outside of the headphones rattling from the monitors. Bass response is massive, songs that sounded bass heavy in the cans, needed a little low-end push on the mixer. These headphones are super lightweight, which makes wearing them easy. I've owned other DJ style headphones and IMHO you can't beat these in this price range.
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Durable, Lightweight

  • Summary: Extension - Loads of bass extension... but, Impact - Slightly lacks impact and, Quality - Very loose. Does improve with an amp though. Mids - Good Highs - Good Soundstage - Rather good considering they are supraaural and closed Detail - Not bad Portability, Isolation and Durability is where these headphones shine. Small enough to fit insude a handbag or laptop bag makes this also idea for travel and people on the go.

Very good but not without it's issues

Dabbler, Amazon
18 August 2014
  • Summary: I have used these professionally for sound recording for about 15 years and whilst not without their issues (detailed below) they do suit me quite well. I have tried various other professional cans but I have to say that I keep coming back to these, for the price they can't be beaten. Pros First and foremost great audio quality, clinical sounding which can reveal faults in noisy headphone amp circuits. Good fit, the slit headband, padded head band and earcups work well.

Great sound quality

  • Summary: I had this his pair of headphones for a few weeks before returning it, it has a very good sound reproduction and the isolation is amazing, they are also very comfortable. This is perfect for dj's, and home use, not so good to use on your day-to-day as they look a bit funny, that was the reason i returned them.

Almost perfect

Conundrummer, Amazon

  • Summary: At the price these should've come standard with an in-line volume control. That, along with the fact that I could not find a Sennheiser product to the job, is my only gripe. The sound is great, a really wide sound and excellent instrument separation. From reading other reviews my main concern was the apparent head-clamping discomfort - I found this to not be the case.

Amazing but with one slight negative

Amolicious "Amo", Amazon

  • Summary: I use a 2.9Ghz Laptop with 16GB DDR3 Memory, with an external Soundblaster X-Fi 5.1 Pro (USB). The headphones are so tight to begin with for users of a medium head size. After 30 mins of wearing this your ears are compressed which ends up aching. Over a period of time these headphones will stretched out, but comfortability is not its greatest feature upon wearing for the first time.

Best headphones I tried for this price

  • Summary: Best headphones I tried for this price, cancel noise really well, couldnt really tell the difference between this and those with active noise cancellation, excellent sound quality, only loses and start and they feel a bit cheap for the price

Great sound but 1. Cable which is too long(3m) for me and 2. Pads hurt my ears after using for more than 15 minutes

  • Summary: Quality of sound is great and the pads don't hurt my ears as much as they did in the beginning but I wish the cable was shorter. You can bundle and tape the extra length but its not very comfortable especially if you're taking them outside
