Pros & Cons

  • flexible literally, all parts replaceable, it s all good, great isolation, painfully good
  • there is no cons, they are quite expensive, bass heavy

The closed-back HD 25-1 II purpose-designed, professional monitoring headphones offer high attenuation of background noise. Capable of handling very high sound pressure levels and of extremely robust construction, these headphones perform exceptionally well in high-noise environments, e.g. ENG, sound reinforcement, studio monitoring and audio equipment testing. The capsule is rotatable for one-ear listening. Ideal monitoring headphones for cameramen and DJs.

A few of my mates who dj in clubs use the Sennheiser HD 25s, I have tried technics ones and nu-mark headphones as a cheap option but wasn't worth the money as i had to keep replacing the headphones all the time , i found hd 25's are by far the best. Now I  use these all the time for djing in clubs and I like them because they stop a lot of exterior noise and the sound quality is crystal clear also they are very durable and every part can be changed on them which is... Despite their size these headphones are intended for professional use. DJ Mag voted this product No 1 last year, and I've noticed a few influential Dj's using it in live shows (eg Paolo Mojo). Personally I don't like to use them while dj-ing because I find them a bit uncomfortable. They are very well built though, with all the components replaceable and providing a good noise cancellation but not near any bigger size headphones. The base is a kind of disappointing for... They may not be the most stylish headphones out there and are certainly not for the commuter posers. but for the money they are stunningly good. All parts are replaceable which is why I got these as my old Pro Sony's ear pads died and a replacement was not available. You will need an extension cable if you're not sitting at your computer but that's no reason not to give this product 5 stars. Quite honestly I can't imagine the justification to spend more than these cost. Read more
