Summary: These headphones came very close to working for me, especially in the sound quality, but I couldn't get past their awkward fit. Because they are a bit top-heavy I had to perch the headband way up on the back of my head otherwise looking down would cause them to slide forward. When I tried to wear them around the house I found I couldn't bend over to pick things up without a lot of care.
Pros: - Reasonably comfortable ear pads (but definitely not as soft as the Bose OE2), - Cable connects on one side only, - iPhone controls work great, - Good sound with decent bass
Cons: - They are top-heavy. Wouldn't stay still on my head unless I stayed in my seat., - Bass is strong but doesn't go extremely deep, - Overall sound is a bit more on the warm/dark side than I prefer, but I tend to like a brighter sound in general.
Summary: These headphones are comfortable, they sound great, the remote works fine with an iPhone (according to another reviewer not with other phones, so beware) BUT... ... I snagged the (long!) cable while it was plugged into my iphone and it ripped the connector apart - literally. It was gutted (as was I!). There was a tiny piece still sticking out of the iphone socket, so I managed to remove the end of the connector with tweezers so as not to render my iphone mute.
Summary: As stated on amazon previews they are good sound quality. What isn't good is the power cord. I can't understand how a good sounding product could be let down by such a silly thin cord that's guaranteed to snap. Surely everyone has, at some time or other, 'trapped' the cord and almost had the phones yanked away. The manufacturers can do a lot better than this, and should you break the cord will sennheiser replace them?
Excerpt: In my profession, I have had to rely on headphones for monitoring analogue and digital audio recordings and I have used a fair few headphones in my time. Some I own myself and some I have been privy to in the workplace. Sennheiser is a brand I trust and recommend, having been weaned on them from a relatively early age. I like to think of them as the connoisseur's headphone choice. Depending on which pair you opt for, you could pay from twenty to two hundred pounds.
Excerpt: В пользовании один день, собственно делюсь первыми впечатлениями. В пользовании имел и имею сейчас разные наушники и подороже и существенно дешевле. Ожидал гораздо большего от известной фирмы за приличные деньги.
Pros: Легкие, не плохой звук.
Cons: Плохо обработаны кромки, тугие подвижные соединения, значительное давление на уши, материал амбушюр, давление на темя.
