User Review

  • Summary: Introduction: Now, before i start the actual evaluation of the sound, these were literally my first pair of headphones... And the ones that started my obsession with the whole collecting headphones thing.   Build Quality: For a $50 headphone, you can't really complain about the build quality. They are basically all plastic, and the cable is not detachable. For a low cost headphone, i really think these reflected the price in terms of build quality.
  • Pros: Treble, Comfort, Sound, Style
  • Cons: Non-Detachable Cable, Lack of Bass

Good quality and good sound

A.Correia, Amazon
15 February 2014
  • Summary: These are great headphones for commuters like me. Confy, good sound, and you can pack them easily in any rucksack. I bought these because of the remote. After having my Sennheiser HD218i I made sure that this time I would choose ones with a remote that would allow not only play/pause but also forward/backward (really useful for podcasts!). The thing is that this button works most times but not every time as expected. Thus 4 stars. Apart from that, it's a really good set.

Good headphones, very detailed sound but bass could be better

Alexander, Woolworths
26 January 2014
  • Summary: I had hoped these would be louder than my HD 205 headphones on my phone, due to the lower impedance rating. My fault, I should have paid attention to the sound pressure level which is actually slightly less. The bass is also not as deep, I knew the frequency response was higher (19 - 21000Hz vs 14 - 20000Hz) but didn't expect it to make a difference as most devices only output 22Hz at their lowest anyway.
  • Pros: Good Bass, Comfortable, Lightweight, Flimsy Construction, Poor Value

In Depth Review - The Bearable Lightness of Being?

Peri Urban "periurban", Amazon
16 November 2013
  • Summary: Test equipment - iPhone 4S, standard iPod player, The Oscillator app by Jonatan Liljedahl. At first glance these headphones don't exactly inspire confidence, with a cheap and cheerful construction. They are comfortable enough, but not terribly robust in feel. The sound however is anything but cheap, and these are amongst my favourite cans at this price point (£50-£60). The even cheaper version without the remote at about £40 is probably a class leader at that price.

Nice headphones, but not the best

Timo King, Amazon
17 April 2013
  • Summary: I'd wanted to try these headphones out for quite a while as they seemed to have a good balance between portability and the deeper sound of headphones. They look quite good, although on close inspection the material seems a bit cheap. They have very good sound isolation, cutting out external noises effectively.. but I found myself that they tend to move around a bit if you happen to be walking around with them. The sound is good, although never really astonishing.

Nice sound quality, comfortable but low on bass

All of them Witches, Amazon
27 March 2013
  • Summary: A nice unobtrusive set of headphones. Not at all cumbersome, worn over the ears but somewhere in size between the ones that go into your ear and headphones that completely envelope your entire ear. I really agree with the point raised by 'Helpless' in their review regarding sound quality. They produce a really pleasant crystal clear sound but the bass is lacking and I mean really in the background.

SUPERB CLARITY BUT LACKS BASS, GREAT FOR AUDIO BOOKS AND SOME MUSIC, BUT IF YOU LIKE YOUR BASS THESE ARE NOT FOR YOU

Helpless "Helpless", Amazon
26 March 2013
  • Summary: I'm actually a great fan of in ear head phones, I really like the way they cancel out external noise, at the moment my favourites are Klipsch S4's when I want more bass and Klipsch x10's because of their clarity when I listen audio books. This is a radical departure for me and the last time I had a set like these must have been 6 or 7 years ago. My initial impression of these Sennheisers was their fit. The headphones do not encase your ears, they sit on top of them.

Наушники Sennheiser HD 219

Phantom1, dns-shop.ru
