Summary: Firstly, these are a great set of headphones.
Pros: Great price for what they give, Great Bass, Good Midtone and Trebel response, Comfortable once a set in period has occured, Rotatable right earcup, Comes with leather styled case, Extra long cable for home amp usage or DJ usage, Durable plastic outer layer
Cons: Don't fold up, Needs a minor set in period, Long cable (3 Meters) may be an annoyance (but this can be resolved by binding and tying the cable)
Pros: Having been musicly trained and working in live sound for 7 years I can, without hesitation say these headphones are amazing! They seal brilliantly and block out sound as good as most sound canceling headphones. I have been using them everyday for almost 5 years and outside of scuffs on the outside nothing has changed.
Cons: I have bigger ears so the tops of the earcups sometimes squish the very top of my ears. If you have this issue just give the cups a little wiggle and it will fix it.
Excerpt: SLEEK ,STYLISH , a good addition to any studio .I work on film sound tracks and have to do some pretty critical listening. The HD205-II fit snug to my head ,enveloping me in sound, yet when I need to respond to a director or producer ,the right can swings out of the way and I can hear someone in the room.Brilliant.I will be buying more.
Pros: Comfortable, Compact, Durable, Good Bass, Good Value, Great Sound, Lightweight, Stylish
Summary: What the duce? I had them in a bag and stepped on them on accident one day. The side that "doesn't swivel" did. I worried I broke them. Turns out I didn't. It may not be designed to, but the left cup will swivel by construction. Found that interesting. I would not recommend that!
Pros: The audio quality is fantastic. It comes with a mini to major headphone adapter that is attachable via threading and is gold plated.
Cons: Pressure from the cups can overwhelm but the swivel can help relieve the pressure.
Summary: These are replacing my old HD 238's that broke on me from a random accident. Most new cans will give you a headache, so I have to break in a new pair all over again. Just a few more weeks of headaches will do...
Summary: I used other Sennheisers. Sennheiser HD 428 is my first and I use HD 598 is my home desktop version. I needed a work headphones that does not "leak" and gives good bass. I mostly listen to Rock, Punk Rock, Country songs with occasional metal. I was little bit hesitant about buying sennheiser as both HD 428 and HD 598 leak a lot. Also, HD 428 is low on bass and low on volume.
