Summary: I like them more and more every time I try other headphones because of the superior sound and fit (even compared to more expensive headphones such as noise cancelers). They can be a bit tight on the head so storing them on something the size of your head (like a book) helps stretch them. I did have to chain sinnet the cord which might be bad for it but it has lasted 2 years so far.
Summary: I've got those in November 2008. Since the day I've bought them, I always liked them. Pros : Sound is incredible for the price Set is sturdy and of high quality Price Cons : Only after a little while, my ears hurt. Must be because they don't fit into the ears-holes. Cord is WAY too long. I say, go for it. It's the best 45$ you'll ever spend if you are an audiophile or audio enthousiast. If you have large ears, the pads will be quite confortable.
Summary: For the longest time I had used the most craptacular five-dollar headphones one could find. When listening to metal they had a tendency to shred my ears.
Then, I got these babies.
This was my first much better pair of headphones I had ever bought. They blew my mind. Many on these boards think that these aren't so great but they are awesome to my ears.
The highs were decent. Not harsh but not totally up front and clear like they could be.
Pros: Good sound for the price. Nice bass. Comfy for me.
Cons: Can get warm. Bass has a bit of bloat. Highs slightly rolled off
Summary: Alright, so I bought these because I needed to replace my broken Superlux HD699s since I accidentally dropped them because the wire snagged the chair. I did some research on these cans, and most of the reviews I have seen are positive and they were right.
Here's my review:
The sound itself is flat, the bass or the treble is balanced. The mid-range is also well balanced. When I first wore them, I listened to some songs, from drum n bass, rock, to dubstep.
Pros: Detachable earpieces for storage and portability, good sound, equal bass and treble, not too expensive, long cord. Comfortable.
Cons: Long cord, not very portable in terms of going outside with it.
Summary: I bought my Sennheiser 202's not even a week ago and already loving them! They have wonderful treble, mid, and bass and work with my music. The problem i have which seems to be recurring is the long cord which can be a hassle when im skateboarding. I was very shocked at how cheap they were too.
Summary: These aren't the most expensive headphones, and it shows. They don't have audiophile sound, any options or special features.
But they are cheap. And if you're looking for an inexpensive set of headphones that go over your ear, these are without question the ones to buy.
I've had my pair now for over two years, and have treated them rather poorly I should add.
Summary: I bought these headphones to use while traveling. I find that using
earbuds are difficult listen with because of background noise. Plus, listening with earbuds for long periods of time causes a little pain in my ears.
These headphones worked great. They didn't shut out all background noise, but muted it enough so that I didn't have to increase the volume. I listen mainly to audiobooks, but the headphones also do a pretty good job when when switching over to music.
Summary: The Sennheiser HD 202 is simply a great product and retails for a very reasonable price. The sound is superb and rivals the pricier name brands.
I don't think anyone would be disappointed with these headphones and would appreciate the savings. I paid 4 times as much for another set and they didn't hold up. They also didn't sound any better than the HD202.
Forget the pricier ones and go with these, You'll love them.
Summary: I bought these headphones because I work in a corporate office with sales people surrounding me. As a graphic designer I need some quietness to be creative. I looked at many "noise canceling" headphones (Sony MDR V150's were a close 2nd, but because of the reviews I went with Sennheiser), i didn't want the weight of a battery to run the "noise canceling" feature nor did I want to replace a battery every week, or spend $100. These sound excellent at a great price!
