Excerpt: Only had these for (1) week and the Left channel went completely DEAD the 2nd time I used the headset. Sounded great when they did work. Well worth the $[$]until the left channel went dead. VERY DISAPPOINTED !
Summary: Avoid... I got these on sale for what a music CD sells for, but it's not even worth that low price. I can't even use these for my metal detector. Will end up donating it to my grandmother who can't hear anyways...
Pros: Not tight like other reviewers are warning about.
Cons: Sounds like listening to music through two bowls of oatmeal. No highs or mids. Has decent bass, but it's murky, like what you would hear if 15 feet under water.
Summary: I bought 3 of these based on Sennheiser's reputation. While the sound was acceptable (not as good as I had expected), all 3 had one channel go out within two months. The wires that lead into each headphone are very thin and apparently break easily.
Summary: For twenty bucks, you get a pair of headphones that are at par with the money spent. Nothing special. No warmth on the lows, nothing special in the highs. They are just about worth ten-fifteen bucks range and the Sennheiser name stuck on these phones is irrelevant as far as the sound quality goes.
Pros: Name Functional Not cheap-looking
Cons: Nothing special VERY long wires on BOTH sides - unwieldy and I kept them bunched up when I used these
Summary: I am revising my previous 5-star review with this 1-star review. I bought these less than 6-months ago and they are now in the garbage. The left ear in mine began cracking and wouldn't work unless you held the cord a certain way with your fingers. It got worse.
Summary: My guess is that so many people have given these headphones a high rating because they are only using them with mp3 players, ipods, and other portable devices.
Pros: These headphones sound decent with my mp3 player.
Cons: The hissing I mentioned before is quite audible when plugged into my pc or stereo. Unfortunately, I bought these mainly for use with them. If you are looking for headphones to use while gaming or watching movies/tv, I say do not waste your money. Also, I say again, do not underestimate how small ...
Summary: I can't believe there are so many high ratings for these headphones, they are absolute garbage. I immediately ordered a cheaper pair of Koss which I know to be comfortable and have far superior sound.
Cons: Sound is horrible. There is a constant low hissing in the background and in general they sound as empty as the weakest ear buds I have heard. A few people have mentioned how small the headphones are, but I was still amazed. These are tiny and incredibly uncomfortable. They started to give me a he...
Summary: I got these for $19.99 and that was still more than they were worth. I honestly wouldn't take these if you gave them to me as comfort is priority for me with headphones. Contacting Newegg about an open-box return.
Pros: Free shipping.
Cons: Fit too tight, made of cheap plastic, ear cups too small for over-ear, too big for on-ear, poor fit, headband is cheap plastic. I have purchased several Sennheiser headphones over many years, although the last pair I purchased was almost 10 years ago. My how the mighty have fallen as these headph...
