Excerpt: I purchased the Sennheiser HD 201 headphones for one purpose: so directors could listen to audio takes on location. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a set of headphones knowing that some directors are pretty careless in handling other people's gear. Based on all the positive reviews for the HD 201 I thought I had found a happy medium between good sound at a "disposable" price point. Save your money! They're not that great.
Cons: Flimsy Construction, Poor Sound, Poor Value, Too Much Ambient Noise
Summary: These headphones have good sound quality, and they are well made. However, the padding that goes around your ears isn't thick enough. This makes it so they mash your ears against the side of your head. If you have flat ears anyway, I would highly recommend these. They are a great deal. But if your ears stick out even a little, don't bother. You won't want to wear them.
Summary: This is going to be a short review.
-When I took them out of the box they felt like crap, like the smallest amount of pressure would snap the headband in two or more pieces.
-Upon first wearing they weren't nearly as tight or sweat inducing as the Skullcandy T.I.'s I had at the time.
The sound was nasty. I do not know if this "burn in" thing you people talk about counts with these things or not, but I didn't even want to try.
Pros: Cheap, kind of comfortable, good "soundstaging?"
Cons: Bass is at a negative level, incredibly cheap materials
Summary: ok headphone but not worth for 2000 bucks i wud say....u can get a great one in SONY at same range ...moreover the pack was not sealed as i expected and with no warrant card or atleast manual which i expected to be there even in chinese stuff :)...
Summary: Don't get me wrong for the price the sound of these headphones is pretty clear and they are great at keeping sound in and the outside world out. However the volume of these headphones are really bad and the bass...well what bass, it is non existent. They really do lack that power and make listing to music a boring experience.
Summary: These headphones are a disgrace to Sennheiser. Pros: lightweight Cons: do not hug head -feel very cheap -terrible sound quality (bogs out when it gets remotely loud) -not worth the price Do not buy, would be better off with a pair of JVC headphones.
