Summary: These Sennheiser EH150's are a solid headphone for under $50. Looking around that price range, most sealed cans are a little disappointing and can sound "fake". Luckily these are better than most $50 sealed HP's I've seen in some time. Sound quality is good for the value. They are pretty warm and audiophile will not like the extra bass, though it is not too muddy and flows right into the mids.
Summary: The Sennheiser EH 150 represent a very good value in the headphone market. You can currently grab them for as little as $30 and they are easily obtained from local chain stores such as Circuit City. Very light and with soft pleather ear pads, they give long lasting comfort. Due to their supraaural design they do not cause any heat issues with the ear, even with pleather ear pads.
Summary: Brilliant audio quality. Near-noise-cancelling level of padding that manages to remain perfectly comfortable on my head. Easy 5 stars for Sennheiser. Great job, my German friends.
Pros: They might as well be noise-cancelling without the extra bulk. The padding covers more than my entire ear very comfortably and shuts out a great deal of excess noise, allowing me to listen comfortably wherever I am. The clarity is what truly attracted me to them, considering how much I can hear on recordings that I have never heard before, until I got these headphones. I figure if I can discover new parts to songs that I never heard before, that's quality.
Summary: I purchased a set of these headphones to use for gaming about 5 months ago, and they are holding out great. I always had bad luck with headsets, so I bought the Sennheiser EH-150's and a desktop USB microphone, and it was the best thing i could have ever done. The sound quality is phenomenal; you can hear the subtlest of tones. when you play games and watch DVDs, it feels like you are there.
They also cancel a good amount of sound from your environment.
Summary: The sound is mediocore, I have had panasonic and sony pairs that I purchased from Target that had better speakers in them. Also I prefer the wire to be on one-side only. If I had my choice again I would have purchased, Sentry 2.1 Surround Sound Headphones with Subwoofers.
Summary: I have had Sennheiser microphones for over 30 years that are still unmatched in quality...nice to find that, though the prices have come down, the products are still pleasing. I'm using these presently in combination with a Zoom H-2.
