Summary: Serves the purpose! It was for my husband who needed some sturdy stuff after breaking two of Beats ear phones. Sound quality is decent and fits well. However, people with smaller ears, this may not really be a thing for you. Try it before you buy it!
Summary: Good sound with these including decent bass response. Really shuts out the outside world too so if you're doing something at the same time (like walking to work) you will need to use you're other senses to stay safe. No chances of these falling out of your ears either, they stay secure but the mechanism could make your ears a tiny bit sore after a while. Also prone to tangling. I'd by then again tho.
Summary: Good bit of kit. Very secure in the ear. They are perfect for using in the gym. The only reason I did not give these 5 stars is that they are almost too good to use for running. By that I mean they seal into your ear very well. So well that if you are out running it is very difficult to hear anything apart from your music. With other headphones I can hear background noise like cars or other people. These block out almost every other sound apart from the music.
Summary: I bought these headphones to replace the in-ear headphones I had previously, and I like them. The fitting is a bit odd, the hook at the top of the earplug presses into the "lip" just above your earhole. It is a bit weird at first, but does provide excellent stability when I'm cycling or walking, even for ears like mine that don't work with earphones in general. The sound quality, for Sennheiser's, is a bit disappointing.
Summary: Bought for gym use; I'm very pleased with these. They're very light and fit the ear so well, you absolutely can't feel that you're wearing them. Look and feel well made, too. The lead is *just* long enough to leave a bit of slack. I chose the in-ear rather than flat faced version, but the noise cancelling still isn't great.
Summary: Good sound, especially in the treble area, lacking slightly on bass. This is my second pair as I broke my first by snapping them on purpose in anger (nothing to do with the headphones) I liked them so much however I decided to stick with this model rather than upgrading to a £100 pair.
Summary: Bought these for my wife who overall is really pleased with them. She uses them for when she is running and as a musician the sound quality is really important and these appear to measure up to her exacting standards. Moreover, the other big issue that has plagued her with previous headphones has been sweat pooling in the ear canal, and again this has not yet been a problem with the CX 685s.
Summary: robust, for sennheiser. Bought them because my other pair had a dodgy connection where the moulded 3.5mm jack is. I can't say if I was unlucky or if it was a quality control issue. The other good things are that you can feel which one is right and which is left by the little demon horn type things which extend and act to stabalise the headphone bud within the pinna (outer ear). They sound good, there is ample cord and they are blue. I happen to like blue which is lucky.
Summary: I bought these headphones after good internet reviews and of course the Sennheiser reputation. I needed headphones that would block out the loud music at the gym and allow me to hear my own music and these are excellent; they have full sound and the volume goes right up to drown out other noise.
