Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT These headphones are cheaply made and I believe they aren't genuine sennheiser headphones I rely on sennheiser for my headphones and normally their products are great but I don't believe these headphones are made by sennheiser
Summary: I have had 3 sets of these headphones. They are excellent when they work, but due to poor build they dont seem to last long. First set did last over a year before sound was lost in one ear, second set lasted only 6-7 months same problem. As I liked the sound I tried again, bought a set late January and by Mid March no sound in left earphone AGAIN. Quality sound when they work, but no build quality whatsoever. So I will never buy them again.
Summary: Previously I had the Sennheiser CX 500 which were great. I lost mine so had to get a new pair. I wish I hadn't spent the money on these CX 400. Within a couple of weeks they started falling apart. The silver bit on the earbud which holds together/hides the earbud connecting to the wire came apart. Soon the other side came apart too and to use them, I have to push back the silver bit and quickly put the buds in my ears.
Summary: This is my third pair of Sennheiser CX 400 II ear phones, and this is the third time to loose sound in the left earpiece after only a few months of non-heavy use. It seems, reading other reviews, that this is a common problem. Shame, because the sounds is generally excellent with a realtively wide dynamic range.
Summary: The sound quality out of these earphones is fantastic. I was absolutely blown away. They completely cut out all the background noise and it literally feels like your head is being filled with music. With sound quality that I have found way superior to the Bose earphones I use, which cost much more, I can't help but think that the technology Sennheiser use is pretty spectacular. But.
Summary: I should have known these being my second pair of Sennheisers............................ The first pair I had failed in the right ear, this pair although still working is falling to bits before my eyes (or ears). Wire to the volume control became exposed after 2-3 weeks, all the stickers identifying make and model have fallen off just waiting now for the failing ear piece and they'll be dispatched to where they belong.
