Summary: Firstly I'll start with a warning. There are literally thousands of fake versions of this product on the Internet and sometimes when something looks to good to be true, the odds are it probably is.
Summary: These were my first time buying a Sennhieser product and I was very impressed. After buying them I was told about many Sennhieser headphones being fakes but I bought them off amazon from a 3rd party seller full filed by amazon.
CX 400-II headphones give great quality depending on the price
2 November 2010
Excerpt: The first thing I should mention is that there are fakes out there, a lot of them. I bought some CX 300s a few month backs and they were unfortunately fake. I am saying this because it may be a little confusing when deciding whether to buy these headphones as the price may seem to good to be true.
Pros: Long life depending on price, good quality, noise cancellation works .
Excerpt: My husband's previous job was as a sound engineer, and he's always praised Sennheiser products, so when I saw the Sennheiser CX 400 II Precision Noise Isolating Ear-canal Phones with Integrated Volume Control for the bargain price of £20 on Amazon I purchased them and put them away for Christmas.

Excerpt: Hi folks, I bought these headphones on the high street for about £55, my first bit of advice would be to get these online, as you can get them for a lot cheaper than what I paid! Real Sennheisers sound good. Wish they lasted as well, too. And there are a lot of fakes around.

Summary: [Update: Reduced the star rating from 5 to 3. They were the genuine article and very good while they lasted (see the original review below). Unfortunately, after eight months of careful and considerate use, the infamous, common fault appeared: the volume and the sound quality of the left earphone...

Excerpt: A SENN-SIBLE INVESTMENT I have been happily and contentedly using a pair of Sennheiser CX300 headphones for the best part of two years now, so when I recently acquired a netbook, I decided to relegate them to my laptop bag and invest in some new, upgraded headphones for my iPod.
Pros: Rich audio, great noise isolation and excellent value
Cons: In - ear format may not be everyone's cup of tea . Rustling from cable .
Summary: As a piece of sound equipment it can hardly be faulted at this superb price and its quality with regards to sound is undeniable, also it boasts a rather handy on-lead volume control which works brilliantly and a small (detachable) crocodile clip to help keep it in place on your jacket or shirt.
