Summary: Being an avid music listener, there hardly goes a day without me spending at least one or two hours listening to my iPod Touch. My previous mobile earphones during the last decade were the Sony EX-series (e.g. MDR-EX71), whose sound quality and isolation I was very happy with.
Summary: Have a pair black Sennheiser Eco phones and quite impressed, but music a little sharp, so bought these '400's'. Very impressive, you certainly feel that not only are you at the recording, but almost in the microphone ! Certainly the best I have used.
Summary: Was initially happy with these earphones, but they only lasted around 5 months before the lead started fraying where it connected to the volume control. Then the sound went in the left ear rendering them useless.
Summary: I purchased this and then another one the same for my son two weeks later. This one had different packaging to the later one and the detail on the phones and particularly on the carry case is very different. On christmas day I tested the two on other people asking which they thaught best-in every case...
Summary: These Sennheiser's were bought to replace the Bose in ear model I had before. Whilst the Bose sounded good I was disappointed with their build quality. For the price of these Sennheiser and the positive reviews on the sound I thought I'd give them a go.
Fantastic Quality, Increased Price, Short Life Span

Summary: I have now had my sennheiser earphones for more than a year now, purchased them on 22 Feb 2011, they've been great ever since, crisp sound, big bass for earphones, very durable. When i purchased them last February they were 25 quid, and my brother previously had a pair which i tried out before-hand.
TL;DR: Only buy if you plan on using them while sitting down and not moving.

Summary: I bought these headphones a couple of months ago and they have already broken. If you plan on using these while sitting perfectly still, they will work out great for you. I use them for jogging and while skiing as well as the usual and the jack completely severed without any excessive force.
Summary: After a three years my CX300s finally gave up the go (well the wires going from the earphones to the jack did anyway) it was time to get a new pair of earphones. I looked at the CX300-IIs and they seemed to get a lot of negative reviews and these CX400-IIs were not much better off, so I had a look...
Summary: I previously owned a pair of CX 400 II, which lasted for ~2 years. When they finally broke, I replaced them with a pair of CX 175, which are ~£25, rather than ~£45 for the CX 400 II. However, the CX 175 were really disappointing and I had to return them.
