Summary: I bought these over 18 months ago, and they are still going strong without any issues at all. I've had some expensive pairs of Sennheisers and Bose earphones before and they both broke within 6 months. I also had a pair of cheaper Chinese headphones which also didn't last long.
Summary: Seriously, these are the best earphones I have ever had. The sound quality is top notch, the "Clear and Detailed Sound" in the name is true. And oh wow are these things durable! As I write this, I have had my pair for nearly two years and they still work perfectly!
Summary: These ear phones were reduced in price so I felt I was getting a bargain and having used them I feel more so. The sound quality is superb. I used them first on a long haul flight and they were good enough to drown out aircraft noise.
Summary: I purchased these in ear canal phones, as I have a Sony Walkman and cloth ears, so the Sony earphones that came with it weren't great, as the sound is very low indeed. These in ear canal pieces cancel out outside noise, so you get a great clear sound without having to perforate you eardrums.
Summary: Sennheiser CX 280 Ergonomic Ear-Canal Earphones with Clear and Detailed Sound I have rarely read such disparate Web reviews about a headphone. Initially, on first listening, and after struggling to lever and push the CX280 out of its ridiculously tight packaging from China, bass is virtually absent.
Summary: I have never owned a Sennheiser product but I do know that they are known for sound and build quality. My uncle had a pair of very expensive Sennheisers about 20 years ago which still work, which must tell you something about the company.
