Overpriced for the quality

Excerpt: I purchased these as an alternative to high quality full ear headphones for monitoring audio for video. Sennheiser is certainly a trusted name in audio but these headphones do not measure up. I A/B'd them with an inexpensive set from the check out line at a grocery store for about 1/3 the price. The CX 200's had a tinny pinched sound. My cheapos sounded like studio monitors in comparison.
Excerpt: The CX 200 are a great designed headphone, they are supremely comfortable to wear, however they are let down by very poor sound quality. I assumed the CX-200 would be on a similar level to other sennheiser products i have purchased, but these are not. They have a very thin, almost tinny sound with a complete lack of bass. The sound is so awfull, they are almost unusable. The standard headphones which come with the ipod/ iphone are far superior.
Summary: I've owned a few different models of Sennheiser earphones and these were far and away the worst. They were so bad in fact, that I stopped using my mp3 player at work for a few weeks and have since thrown the earphones away. The sound was very tinny and the V shape neck cord meant the earphones regularly fell out of my ears (and yes, I did have the correct size buds).
Summary: These headphones are awful! The top sound is tinny and there is no bass! Whatever I try to do with equalisers it doesn't help. Sennheiser are suppose to be linked with quality sound but these do not showcase the usually high standards from Sennheiser.
Summary: The sound quality of these earphones is so poor that I was shocked, given the fact they are by Sennheiser who are known for their high quality products. Obviously they have expanded to the low end product sector. The basses of these earphones are very poor. This sound quality I would have expected from any noname £4 earphones. Very disappointing.
Summary: I bought these earphones because, for once, I wanted to invest more money in earphones that would actually last. In the past I had heard a lot of good reviews about Sennheisers, so I thought I'd try them. It was a total waste of money. They sound is horrific. There's no bass, no filter... the music just sounds horrible through them. I was forced to by new ones. I still went for Sennheisers, as I have now been informed about the exact earphones to buy.
Awful quality, would expect better from Sennheiser

Summary: I've purchased Sennheiser earphones in the past and they have been excellent sound quality, albeit they have broken (one ear stopped working altogether) after a few months. These however, were awful - really tinny sound and no bass.
