Love these headphones!!!

Chris B., Newegg
6 November 2015
  • Pros: At the price of these headphones, there is no other that can even come close! I had a pair of Klipsch 4i headphones which I really enjoyed but after trying these (856 model), I ended up giving away the Klipsch buds! The bass is excellent and their sensitivity is outstanding! Every nuance in the m...

  • Pros: Great sound and quality, crisp and clear!
  • Cons: I've had to replace the right ear plug over 7 times since I got it (July 2014) and the connector wire was exposed 6 months into using it. Seems to be fine till now, I just have to be careful. This could be a defective unit

Takes some getting used to

Anonymous, Newegg
17 September 2015
  • Summary: Use the app to find your best cushion. After that, not much else. Give your ears a week or two (perhaps longer) to adjust to the new sound. You may not like it at first (I didn't), but they will grow on you. Got these for $30 when normally $250! What a steal!
  • Pros: Very flat sound for earbuds, which is what you should look for in reference monitors. Comfortable, once you find your proper ear cushion. They come with multiple different sized and shaped cushions, each one affecting the sound differently. The buttons are nice and big, making it quick and easy t...
  • Cons: The app that they recommend you download is broken (iphone 5S on iOS 8). It does have a test-tone area which, unfortunately, is bugged to stay at one test tone (30Hz). Even though I could only listen to one tone, it helped me choose the best sounding (and best feeling) cushion. The app offers a p...

Good, balanced sound

Kevin C., Newegg
4 August 2015
  • Summary: After having these for over a year and still using them everyday, it is safe for me to say that these are great earphones. If you're not someone who requires the unnatural and enhanced bass sound, then I would definitely say to pick these up, especially if they're under $50.
  • Pros: The sound is honestly really good. I paid around $40 for these, and would do so again in a heartbeat. They lasted over a year so far, and I have not been taking care of them as much as I should have. They've been my everyday earphones for the whole time, also. You won't be getting extreme bass so...
  • Cons: Volume controls work with Apple products only, not Android.

Forever grateful for huge discounts

Michael H., Newegg
30 July 2015
  • Summary: Much better then a lot of the reviews imply. Set up correctly and don't expect completely off balance ultra bass heavy music like beats and you will be extremely happy.
  • Pros: Obviously one of the biggest pros for me was the massive discount I purchased these for. No exaggerating I paid more for junk headphones at a dollar store. Paying only $20 for these leaves me with a guilty feeling thanks to the sound quality being so good and all the really nice extras included i...
  • Cons: For cons I really don't have much to say. I paid $20 so honestly don't have a one yet. If I paid more then I would definitely put the build quality in the con list. Its not bad but it definitely isn't $250 good. It honestly feels like a $20 pair of buds. The cord and the plug are of good quality ...

No joy here

Ronald B., Newegg
29 March 2015
  • Summary: Do you feel lucky? Well do ya?
  • Pros: Used to cost $250.00. now 30.
  • Cons: First set received had a terrible intermittent scratchy sound in the left channel. Sent them back. Second set worked for about a half hour and then developed the same problem as the first set. While they were producing sound it was nothing you can't get from a twenty dollar set of earbuds. Overal...

Best used with Apple products

Dat L., Newegg
28 February 2015
  • Summary: So I bought this headphone a few months ago for my 1st gen Ipod touch, and it sounded like a Skull Candy cheapest headphone, and the remote doesn't work. After the new Year I got a 4th Gen Ipod Touch, and I was stunned by how awesome this pair of headphone sounded!!!
  • Pros: High-end sound Best in-ear headphone for its price Good looking headphone Lots of caps
  • Cons: Only works with Apple products that it advertised!!!

Good for certain devices

Godfrey M., Newegg
27 January 2015
  • Pros: I bought these during a NewEgg sale a few months back. Although specified for iOS devices only, the earbuds worked great on my Samsung Droid Charge. These do really elevate the sound quality vs cheaper earbuds.
  • Cons: I recently upgraded my phone to a Motorola Droid Turbo, and it appears Scosche only produces mono sound. To verify the right earbud was not damaged, I plugged the Scosche back into my laptop and got stereo sound. To verify my new Droid Charge didn't have a bad headphone jack, I plugged an old pai...

Really bad headphones

David M., Newegg
9 January 2015
  • Pros: At least I only paid 35 bucks for these.
  • Cons: Where to start... I was looking for a good second pair in case something happened to my sony mdr-xb40ex (Best headphones I've ever listened to.) But these are not anywhere close. Sound? Sounds like 15 dollar skullkandy earbuds at best. No bass, at least almost none unless you put it just right in...
