Summary: I was swayed by the 'British Design' label and Scottish company and I love the appearance of these headphones. They are small and light and perfect for on-the-go listening. They sound pretty good too. But they are really uncomfortable and I can bearly make it through an episode of The Archers (15 minutes) without severe pain! I am a small framed person, with a small hatsize and petite ears, but the headphones squeeze so much they cause a terrible pain!
Summary: I consider myself something of an audiophile as I listen to something in the region of 3-4 hours of music a day. I have owned every mid-high end brand under the sun and first became interested in the 850s as my in-ear of choice is the RHA model (which are fantastic not just for the money but for way in excess of that). The 850s I first tried in Comet with a series of other on-ear 'phones and was pleased to include the 850s in my top 3.
Summary: After buying a pair for my dad at Christmas, I liked them so much I decided to get myself a set! They are light weight, compact and the sound is excellent. I particularly like the detachable cable as they can be stored without having a tangled wire. Good quality headphones overall. I have read that people might find them uncomfortable or don't fit properly but I beg to differ.
Summary: I love these cans, they are designed for portable audio players, full on proper monitors they absolutley are not! For what they are designed for they are fantastic i.e. iPhones, iPods and the like. I love the headband, very quirky. I love the style of the cans. I mostly love the sounds quality but.............. They sound very 'boxy' i.e. appear to have an enhanced bass response at around 250 Hz and below, it's also a job to get any treble response out the things.
Summary: These headphones are smaller than the images make them out to be (on-ear not over-ear) but I have never heard better sound from a pair of headphones. Crystal clear audio whether listening to rock/metal or classical these really are first rate. don't bother looking at other, more expensive headphones these are the only pair you will ever need. As for comfort, my head is on the large side sadly but these are much more comfortable than I expected.
Summary: I love the even balance between bass and treble, good bass but not too much. I also found these headphones, tight and uncomfortable to wear at first, yet loved the sound and wanted to like them. The clear yet punchy sound is to my liking, even on low volume they still have a big sound, I also liked the fact they are British engineered and design.
Summary: I bought these cans with the longer cable. The shorter cable great for travel, longer for home use. They are quite small, but a sturdy build. Sound quality is very good. The cable detaches (mini-jack at each end, which means no longer having to dump the phones when the sound starts cutting out due to cable malfunction. Very happy with my purchase, and at a great price.
Summary: Interesting.. I wouldn't usually pay this much for headphones, but I wanted some good ones which will last. These have a good detachable cable so that's a plus. The first thing I noticed is how tiny and light these are, the materials are fine but they almost seem like they were designed for children, or people with tiny ears.
Style and substance - very impressive and excellent value

Summary: Their lightweight/compact design is convenient for everyday use and they sound absolutely brilliant - much better than you would expect from a <£50 set of headphones. Contrary to some reviews I do think they offer good noise isolation, and their finish is both stylish and (appears) durable - I particularly like the braided jack-lead which is a great idea. My only criticism is that they are a little uncomfortable as the ear-cups don't rotate.
Summary: I have to agree with most of the other reviewers...these are good earphones, they have great sound quality and I especially like the tangle free wiring. However they aren't the most comfortable to wear...although they can be adjusted for length etc they are tight on my head and so puts pressure on my ears... not great if planning on wearing them for any length of time.
