Good for price

Will T., Newegg

  • Summary: If you are on a serious budget, go for this, if not, pay 50 dollars more for a Corsair Vengeance headset with a better mic and padding.
  • Pros: Great sound quality and mic for the price, go for it if you are on a serious budget.
  • Cons: Somewhat uncomfortable after a while, mic picks up everything, breathing included.

These are cheap

Jason M., Newegg
5 August 2014
  • Pros: They achieved decent 7.1 surround emulation while the worked.
  • Cons: I was very delicate with this headset, making sure to never tug on the wire, or leave the headset lying in an awkward position. But nonetheless the headset started falling apart quite quickly, I never even considered RMA because I could tell another would simply fall apart just as quickly because of the build quality. The only legitimate reason to get this headset is if you can't afford to get anything else and are okay with the fact that they have a short life span.

Cheap and great quality.

  • Pros: This is a dirt-cheap USB headset that works flawlessly and has better cables than headsets that cost five times as much. I get eight hours of use on the average day, every day.
  • Cons: It starts out way too small for my elephant ears. But a few adjustments and it is comfortable.

Worked great until they broke.

Jeremy K., Newegg
25 May 2014
  • Pros: Great sound, awesome mic quality. Worked well with anything from gaming, to music and video editing.
  • Cons: The only complaint I had originally was that it would just randomly disconnect from time to time, which wasn't really a big deal. Tonight, I put my headset on, and adjusted it, when the left earphone just slipped right off, severing the wire connecting it with the rest of the headset. I've only owned them since mid-February. I'm now left with no sound whatsoever. I would have easily rated this higher, if not for the completely shoddy craftsmanship. I wouldn't recommen...

A Good USB Headset

Daniel W., Newegg
20 May 2014
  • Summary: I noticed a lot of people with apparently a 5/5 Tech Knowledge level and very poor grammar. Some people whine over things that deserve a higher rating because they have difficulty with the simplest of things or they try and run modern technology on Windows 95 dinosaurs. Don't let the bad reviews turn you away, I've had a pair of these for almost 2 years and I've ordered 2 more for back-ups.
  • Pros: Crisp clear sound without an overwhelming amount of bass and works well with a modern computer (not the dinosaurs some of these other people are whining about). Volume scales nicely and it features plug and play technology. Mic pickup is clear and easily heard. Take it from someone who has gone through their fair share of headsets, this is my ideal choice.
  • Cons: Cord could be a bit longer, but I could also move my computer to a better location. Side-note: The mic boom is easily jarred, try to not run it over with your office chair too much or your mic volume will fluctuate (Don't be the cord-slayer!).

Excellent Sound

Wetdryvac N., Newegg
24 April 2014
  • Summary: The software for this in Windows 7 behaves oddly on switch from main speakers to headset after a USB port switch at times - and can cause the headset to come in at full (and incredibly painful) volume. Unsure? Take 'em off and *then* check volume.
  • Pros: Excellent sound - just about the best I've heard in a headset. Excellent and comfortable fit, reasonably well adjustable. Good cord length. Software for dynamic sound is saner than most.
  • Cons: The armature join from the over-head U to the individual earpiece U is held in place with two screws that connect to position-locked thin plastic. When this is firmly in place, it's strong. However, if the screw vibrates somewhat out over time, that strength goes away as force is concentrated on a small area. In other words, make sure your screws stay seated or the join will snap. Happily, the construction of the join means that unless you're particularly unlucky, ele...

not worth it

bob m., Newegg
6 April 2014
  • Summary: i would not recommend this save your money and get a better ones
  • Pros: debatable.
  • Cons: # 1 when i tried to install the drivers i had to go to the manufactures site do to a bad read error on the install disk. # 2 wile playing music or a game the best way i can describe this issue is that it sounds like they drop a channel its like having a old radio station that is just off the channel gets real fuzzy (static) and a echo and i have to go in to the soft ware for the headset and change channels constantly and reset the head set before they work correctly. ...

Stopped working 5 Months Later

Brian E., Newegg
5 April 2014
  • Pros: Headset is comfortable. Good price. The Volume controls attached are a little bit cheap looking but the device is solid and was really good while it worked.
  • Cons: Stopped working well after 3 months. Random USB drops, I would have to disconnect and reconnect the device to the computer a bunch and it would work for a bit, then stop.
