Summary: This headset with microphone absolutely suited my son's needs for PC gaming. It has a USB connection and comes with easy-to-install software. If your PC or laptop is not already equipped with a microphone, this is a great choice.
Summary: My dog managed to chew through the wires of the headset, thus ruining it, however after soldering, and wrapping the wires back together, it works once again! When I finish building my new PC, which I have included a Rosewill PSU with, I will definitely look into getting a new headset, Rosewill, if you're reading this, Animal proof your wires!
Pros: This is a great headset, it has a low bass, and a high treble. There is one thing that can be quite annoying if you don't yet understand what you're doing. When you first get it, the Volume, even at 1, will be blasting loud. You will have to install the drivers for the headset, and modulate it within the correct tab on the software provided with the driver installation to lower it to a comfortable level.
Cons: It is not dog-proof. The high-intensity Blue LED is much much too bright.
Summary: When I bought thisI knew Rosewill isn't a very reputable company with their terrible power supplies and all, but I thought I'd give them a chance with this headset. It's not too much of a loss I guess they were pretty cheap.
Pros: -The sound was really good for something I got for only $30
Summary: I bought this mic for $20.00 (no shipping or tax). Newegg did a phenominal job getting it here in 2 days. I do believe this was well-worth the money. I took off the egg because of the lack of clip. Accidently hitting random buttons with my chest does grow tiresome after a while. :P Hoped this helped.
Pros: 1. Very confortable on my ears (they completely "eat" my ears)
Cons: 1. I wish there was a clip on the back of the controls to clip onto my shirt. This dangles in front of me and my chest tend to hit buttons and turn of the sound or the mic (which is bad when playing a game like Left 4 Dead). Also, had to anchor the cord under my keyboard to keep the controls from flopping.
Summary: Many users are complaining about the sound level and out of the box they are correct. Once you install the driver/software that it comes with (or download and install it) open up the configurations program (it installs a task bar icon that you can double click on - this is not the same as the Control Panel sound configurations).
Pros: Cost, sound quality, good flexible mic, moderately comfortable but not something you could wear for hours on end (after about 3-4 hours my ears start getting irritated).
Cons: Way bright power LED. Others aren't exaggerating when they say it's bright - if you look right at it, it's almost blinding. I'll either tape over it or paint some semi clear fingernail polish on it to taper down the brightness.
Great once you get the right drivers (see Other thoughts)

Summary: When I just plugged them in and Win7 downloaded a driver (I assumed it was the correct one...you know what they say about assuming), the volume was, as others have complained, ridiculously loud. Even on 1 out of 100 it was too loud for my liking. Did some googling on fixing the problem and came up with nothing, so I took a shot in the dark and looked on Rosewill's site for drivers. Lo' and behold I found em and they fix the problem!
Pros: Everything a headset needs - good mic (easily bendable to wherever you want it), good sound quality, and comfortable...although it took a bit of getting used to on my head.
Cons: Too loud..until you get the drivers from the Rosewill website (see Other thoughts).
