Summary: I will no longer be a newegg customer. The last item i ordered from here I RMA'd, and they claimed there was end user damage. The end user damage was impossible though, considering the item didn't even have the parts that they claimed to be broken.
Pros: Worked -- past tense -- Great. quality was fine.
Cons: Worked great for about a week, then, without warning - microphone crackled and stopped working completely. Not sure if it had anything to do with the company that made this, it is the second thing NewEgg has sent me that is defective. Also is a bit uncomfortable, but i do have a rather large head
Summary: the low end is too much and the fit is way too tight (my youngest niece @ 8 yrs old, could feel the squeezing fo this headset!) I wanted to upgrade because my waterproof sport-phones failed and I couldn't locate any other better quality ($60 to $90 range) headphones that had fabric-like cushions rather than vinyl/leather.
Summary: I had these headsets since 2011, and my first pair of these headsets had a defective microphone after a couple uses (no, I did not sit on it). I contacted Roccat via e-mail and they gladly said they'd give me a new one if I sent mine to their place. Knowing that Roccat Kulos cost about 50$, depending on who you buy it from, the shipping and handling from FedEx costed like $30, I honestly thought this wasn't worth it..
Summary: I received this particular headset as a Christmas gift from my son about a year ago. The overall sound is good. They fit snug to the head and after a while can become a bit uncomfortable, especially if you wear glasses. However, that isn't my chief complaint. What is finishing it for me is that the microphone is crapping out on me already. There appears to be a short in the wiring.
Summary: The headset is great, the sound was nice and kept my ears very warm. I thought the microphone quality was pretty good as well but..... My ROCCAT Kulo 7.1 is not even a year old yet and the microphone on the headset seems to be crapping out on me already. Its making a lot of static noise on its own and I can't seem to do anything about it. I liked the headset, very unfortunate that it went out like this.
Great....until it broke and was replaced with Roccat Kave Solid 5.1
24 April 2014
Summary: The headset is great for the price and mic was good....something many headsets lack. But unfortunately....before even 6months was up the mic stopped working. I replaced it with a Roccat Kave Solid 5.1 and wish I had just bought this from the start. Its much much better in every possible way and worth the extra money.
Summary: I ordered this headset with anticipation that the unit had a usb card with it but nothing in the box - even the packaging does not mention USB. The headset looks very nice and lightweight. Although not tested.
Conclusion: I've always wanted Roccat Kulo and when I finally did get hold of these, they didn't let me down. The audio clarity is great with good performance on the lows and the mids. The mic too is awesome with its auto mic-mute functionality. The only drawback being that it gets uncomfortable on prolonged usage.
