Summary: For the first 6 months or so these were great. Every once in a while they felt a little tight, but I was happy with the solid construction and feel. Then the mic would start crackling when I would lower it into position for use.
Pros: Effective sound for gaming - I can usually hear things better than others. Decent sound for music - I am not an audiophile. Does not fit over my ears - don't like the surround type headsets and need to be able to hear what it happening around me while using the headset.
Cons: A little tight - I have a big head. Mic crackle. Temperamental mute location.
Excerpt: EXCELLANT Sounding and thin enough headbands once expanded to fit hear so I can use with TrarkIR system.Great sound separation so You can hear ,ground,Air,Aircraft,Tower and ALL OTHER SOUNDS VERY CLEAR .At GREAT Price ,good Microphone to Communicate with.
Summary: I am really disappointed in these. I've had these for a while, and had to switch to a new pair 3 times, even though i've been babying these. They're generally uncomfortable, the mic isn't great and the sound isn't either (You can barely hear footsteps) For some reason the USB part stopped working...
Summary: I received this particular headset as a Christmas gift from my son about a year ago. The overall sound is good. They fit snug to the head and after a while can become a bit uncomfortable, especially if you wear glasses. However, that isn't my chief complaint.
Summary: The headphones are very comfortable. I typically use them for watching movies or playing single player games, so I haven’t tested the microphone feature. The sound is clear and the bass is rich. The volume slider is convenient.
Summary: I had these headsets since 2011, and my first pair of these headsets had a defective microphone after a couple uses (no, I did not sit on it). I contacted Roccat via e-mail and they gladly said they'd give me a new one if I sent mine to their place.
Pros: Sounds amazing and pretty easy to install. Handy volume control. Mic mute is as easy as swerving it up. Looks cool.
Cons: Very uncomfortable. Like previous reviews have mentioned, your ears and head will start hurting if you wear them too long. USB 7.1 surround port failed after 5 months so now when I connect it to the USB connector i have no sound on the right side. Had to connect it directly to my motherboards aud...
A great smartphone headset, with the proper adapter
Dark Helmet, Amazon
15 August 2013
Summary: I got this headset for Christmas 2012 and couldn't be more pleased. I didn't buy it for gaming, though it does serve that purpose well. I needed a headset with 3.5mm connectors so I could use a Y adapter to plug them into my smartphone and make calls.
