Summary: They seemed uncomfortable when I first started wearing them. In fact they gave me a headache. After adjusting the slides on either side to about a 7 (med-large head I suppose) they were way more comfortable and I have been able to wear them for over 4 hours with no problems whatsoever.
Pros: Great sound. Comfy after adjustment (see other thoughts.) Mic works great, I'm told my voice is very clear in teamspeak ect.
Pros: After returning for a defective speaker in the right ear cup I'm quite happy with this headset. Clear mic, nice sounding cans, comfortable for extended sessions for those of you with a large gourd. Really good surround for a headset I think. It's easy to locate by sound with them in games. Love it. The RMA process was painless and fast. Good quality and performance for the price.
Summary: Real 5.1 ideal for games like COD Battlefield 3 and other shooting games in witch 5.1 sound is essential for better gameplay. You can easily hear enemy walking towards you, and now you know from what angle is he coming. Mic is also really good. One thing i find not so great is that they are really heavy on the head. Not like after 1 hour, but after 2-3 hours your head will be in pain. And i mean head not ears they are especially comfy for ears.
Summary: my mic has broke about one year in to use. and am trying to get a replacement mic. if i cant im going to but a new headset i might get this one again and keep the new as a spare in the box.
Pros: Has lasted over one year and still sounds great. it is worth every penny if you ask me. the sounds are crisp as nice. games sound amazing. music is mind blowing and anime sounds awesome as well same for movies.
Cons: Has low level of Shielding to prevent buzz z sound. how ever if you do not cross wires which can be avoided and not drag the cable on the carpet floor and other wise. it does not buzz .
Summary: I had previously ran through 1 to 2 different brands of cheaper headsets a year, none were satisfactory. Then I purchased this headset in 2009, before they were available in the US based on recommendations and referral from several European friends who had been using them. I was so impressed I bugged Roccat for a couple years to make them available in the US, and finally they showed up on my favorite website (Newegg).
Pros: 4+ years of trouble free use and counting. These are extremely comfortable, no squeeze, no aches/pain on the head, crystal clear audio, accurate surround sound for gaming and excellent for Skyping. I've never had one person complain about the quality of my voice, and I don't recall anyone sneaking up behind me without me hearing them in Battlefield play.
Summary: If you're on the fence, or even slightly disheartened by the price, DON'T BE! This is an item that will outlast your current gaming rig. Long after you've moved on to faster gigahertz, bigger terabytes and more shiny shader pipelines, this headset will still be by your side, still sounding amazing. I can't even put into words how good of a purchase this really was.
Pros: ...But when I do, Roccat delivers one of the best computer peripherals I've ever purchased. Seriously, this headset is amazing. I've compared this to $100+ studio headphones and these were better on every occasion. This is the type of item that makes you a brand fanboy. The build quality is like nothing I've had in peripherals before, with the exception of my custom WASD mechanical keyboard. It just feels... SOLID. Yes, its a bit weighty (which I happen to prefer, wei...
Cons: The only con I could possibly imagine was something that turned out to be my fault. This headset is molded in such a way that it rests extremely comfortably on your head... if you wear them the correct way. There is a L and R on the inside of the phones that I neglected to see for the first 6 months of owning these, and they were slightly uncomfortable in that manner. **Make sure your mic is on the left when you put them on, don't be a derp like me**
Summary: why haven't you stopped reading this and bought it yet?
Pros: i have had the thing almost two years now and its still going strong! its comfortable durable takes a beating and asks for more like a boss. could not be better made if they tried ! its true 5.1 it works well with gunnar eyewear.
Cons: con is there even such a word for this thing i think not !
Summary: When it comes to ROCCAT products I agree with this one, but some of their mouses have false advertisement....
Pros: Very stylish and the design matches my custom gamer and graphic PC. Sounds good and even better on gaming. The surround sound makes you feel as if your in the environment of the game. It comes with a control mixer which allows you to customize the sounds as your in the music or gaming zone. Not to mention the mute button next to the scifi mixer looking gizmo.
Cons: Does not have a internal voice changer but over all I recommend it.
Summary: I have no clue why anyone would rate this less than 4 stars. The reviews with negative remarks possibly dont know and or havent tweaked sound card settings . No Hiss at high volumes , if you turn off the mic *there is a button to do so* hiss from AMBIENT sounds go away. The mic is super sensetive and responsive.
Pros: Comfortable for long hours of BF3 , solid volume and Bass with sound card tweakings, covered control module (with volume slides under a cover)spill resistant and durable, excellent sound seperation, can hear the enemies as they try to sneak up due to true 5.1 surround . Audio play is very nice as well as watching movies, etc. Have dropped them several times and the soliditity Of the cord and control unit are awesome. Just a well built headset.
