Summary: I e-mailed them about this issue and they said I could return it and they would take a look at it. Haven't got around to that yet. They don't do cross shipping so who know how long I would be out of a headset. Other than that the service at least seemed decent.
Pros: Speakers are nice quality. Build quality is great
Cons: Mic on this is junk, my brother and myself both have a pair of these and they both sound like junk. They worked great for about 2-3 months and then started having issues with them. Mic was static, had to rotate the removable mic counter clockwise to get it to work, rotating it clockwise would not work at all. I'm sure they are not all like this. If it wasn't for this I would recommend them
Great Headset for gaming but terrible build quaility

Summary: I really hope Roccat will address this issue with the ear cups breaking. It seems many people are having this issue. Until then I will find a different headset manufacture that products will last more than 8 months until breaking.
Pros: -Pretty good sound quality for the price you are paying. -Easy to install -Pretty comfortable -Very Good customer service
Cons: - Terrible build quality!!! This is my second pair of kave's and they both broke the same exact way. The left ear cup where it makes the connection with the head band broke. This has happen twice now. It is connected together with this cheap plastic that will crack and eventually you will have a dangling ear cup and you can't hear anything. I don't care how delicate you are whit them they will break with basic use. - Mic is junk. I sent them and email about it and the...
Summary: Being that this is what the statement for the warranty on the product is on their website, I am slightly unsure if Newegg or Roccat will be the one to try to resolve the issue first. Warranty This product is supplied with a limited warranty of two years. If this product exhibits a defect within the warranty period then ROCCAT GmbH may repair or replace the fault product at its own discretion.
Pros: Great sound, nice mic quality, better than most of my other headsets that I have purchased. This is the second one I purchased, the other was destroyed due to a cat getting caught in the wires. The previous device I would give a 4/5, 9/10, etc..and that is how I felt about this one as well..until recently. I would give this a 4/5, but due to a defect in the following section I have rated it a 2/5. It has not been a full year that I have owned this device.
Cons: The one that I just purchased in April, 2014 is showing some issues now. The front right speaker is almost muted, while the other speakers work perfectly fine. While testing to see what the issue could be, I found that the slider was in fact the culprit. When I keep pushing the Front volume slider to the top it will stay at full volume, however when I release it the volume will return to about a 10.
Summary: This was a real disappointment because of the price -- especially since I bought a second pair and the same thing happened only after a few months of use. I take really good care of them. I hang them up on a dedicated radio DJ stand. So the stress fracture is not indicative of mishandling/abuse. Roccat is non-US and is NON-responsive to support/warranty issues. Beware. It's a real shame they missed running these through stress tests.
Pros: Sounds great -- thru highs and lows too. Comfortable for long hours. Good ear coverage.
Cons: The only issue I have with these (now on my second pair) is due to a design fault. Where the headband strap connects with the pivot part of the cup LOOKS substantial, but it's not. It's connected only by plastic. The metal piece inside rips out of the plastic band and leaves you with a dangling ear piece.
Summary: To me its just a design flaw. If the hinge had about 10 degrees more travel it would alleviate the extra stress put on the affected area. You get what you pay for I guess. There is a reason these are one of the cheapest true 5.1 headsets available.
Pros: Has Great sound! Ear cups are comfortable. 5.1 for a great price! In-line volume helps you fine tune to your liking.
Cons: Pads on top are not as comfortable as others when wearing for long periods of time. About a year after i bought these the joint where the cup meets the strap just above the hinge is breaking (Just out of warranty of coarse!). I think I have about 6 months of use left before it breaks 100%. and I'm out of luck.
Can cause Physical damage if used for extended period of time

Summary: The fact that this is a GAMING headset, but can't be used for long gaming sessions without hurting the user is a little silly. Before you thumb this down let me explain what is happening. For a couple hours the headset it okay, once you past 3 hours you will start to feel a pressure on your skull. If you take the headset off you will feel indents in the shapes of squares on the top of your head.
Pros: Good 5.1 audio. Mic CAN be good if close enough to mouth. Plenty of ear space. You want feel your ears touching anything.
Cons: Okay, this is where it becomes a serious issue if you game for extended periods of time. If you game for longer than 3 or 4 hours you will be able to FEEL INDENTS in your skull. The massive weight of this product is daunting. If you are a serious gamer, please choose another headset. Also, the mic resistance is very high, you usually have to turn up the Operating systems mic sensitivity. When you have the sliders in the box set too high (above 35 or 40 percent) you wi...
Pros: They fit well for my large head. The microphone is clear. That's about it for now.
Cons: RMA for defective speakers in right ear cup. There is a loose one in there and it moves all over the place, causes distortion, general unsatisfying behavior. The sound quality is trash because of this.
Summary: Returning these and getting something much lighter and with a more comfortable headband.
Pros: Ear cups are amazingly comfortable, padded generously, and my ears fit inside like a glove. The microphone has a great goose neck, and voice quality (from peers) is very good when working. Control unit is a very nice feature as well. Sound quality overall is very good and surround made a big positive difference.
Cons: TOO HEAVY! I really truly wanted to like this headset. But the honest truth is after about 20 minutes of game play the middle square pad is creating a lot of pressure on my head from the sheer weight. The microphone becomes loose after rotation and must always be checked before putting on. I've had some sound issues with heavy static/poor sound quality.
Summary: The sound aspect alone is what is saving this from being a one egg review. But I can not recommend this product to anyone in good faith. It seems like Roccat put all of their effort into making a good sounding product, without look at if their product is comfortable to wear. If Roccat was to go and redesign the head supports into something more comfortable, I would have no problem recommending this product.
Pros: The sound is superb. This headset has had the best sound of any headset I have used to date.
Cons: It is heavy, no doubt about that. There are also 3 pressure points that it uses to rest on your head, instead of a normal cushioned band like other headsets use. Now these two aspects together and a recipe for disaster. For prolonged periods of gaming I get headaches a lot. And as all gamers know, comfort is a huge factor.
Cons: First got the headset, the right rear speaker was not working. Was going to RMA then all of a Sudden it started working so I ignored it. Then it stopped and I did not feel like going through the hassle of a RMA once more as I also threw away the box. Honestly these are not worth the price. 1) Speakers Flux in and out 2) The volume control is put together very flimsy like in my opinion. 3) Mic is starting to have problems as and making static noises. 4) Same as mic, th...
