2nd pair was fine until it stopped outputting sound from the right earpiece ...

Summary: I'm through my 3rd pair of these in only 4 months of purchasing the original pair. Each pair seemed to suffer from a different issue. Very inconsistent quality through out. 1st pair had lower sounding output on the left earpiece.
Summary: I find it strange that so many reviews talk about the rounded sound from these headphones. I had expected them to need to bed down but they have been remarkably tinny from the start and it hasn't got better in the two months I've had them.
Summary: the cable used on these was among the worst I've ever come across - it was almost magnetically drawn to itself and would get all caught up around itself or me. Didn't like the sound quality either for the price paid - disappointing.
Summary: I've just had to return my second pair of these headphones with the same fault!! The jack plug broke within a week of owning both pairs. I had originally decided on these as I use my earbuds everyday and wanted a fairly heavy duty set.
With so many great reviews for these in-ear monitors

Summary: With so many great reviews for these in-ear monitors, I had to give them a go. But, I'm afraid I didn't get on with them. First, the stainless steel outer parts are huge -- much bigger than an average pair of in-ears.

Summary: At first the build quality seems great, but the rubbery feels to the cable means it get caught on anything and everything, so now the shielding has been cut exposing the wire from getting caught on the edge of a table.
Summary: I read quite a few reviews about these earphones stating that they don't have good bass response. I naively put that down to some reviewers not realising that the seal on in-ear headphones is what ensures good low end. However, after trying all the included buds, I could not find one that fit well.
Summary: The construction of the housing and the jack are very good solid and can hold its own up to almost any canalphones in terms of strength however the cable really up to scratch and has split after a few months use.
Summary: The poorly designed packaging damages the headphones and cables. Here are some photos of the damage http://imgur.com/a/OQzKB As you can see the plastic tray has sharp edges which cut into the cable and the headphones are pushed up against the plastic window/screen causing them to become covered in...
The problem with earbuds is that you can't try before you buy

Summary: Back story....I have used Shure SE315's for about the last 5 years. My first pair eventually gave out a couple of months ago (though I did wear out 3 cords over that period, which at £40 a set, didn't work out cheap). I bought a new pair, which I managed to lose on Friday...
