Excerpt: Great set of cans, Mic could be louder and better quality but the build quality is amazing, they are comfortable and they look great!. I regularly fall asleep with these babies on and wake up and I'm crushing them with my 6ft4 115kg body and they just bounce back. I seriously think you need a...
Pros: Great sound, design feels solid. Fits well, more comfortable than other pairs that I've owned, especially when using for a long time. Control panel is very nice and incredibly easy to use and contains an adapter to set up 7.1 speakers and a simple button to transfer sound to them, making it so you don't require a second sound card. Sound sent to speakers is great and works even on my 2.1 speakers making switching very simple.
Cons: Have to know how to setup 7.1, its not hard but you have to change your audio software setup to 7.1, and windows playback to 7.1. This is relatively easy, but they will sounds terrible initially. Bass was a little harder to setup than the rest but not too hard. Once you get it its well worth the effort.
Summary: And Not really a big con... but the whole Driver cover thing doesn't appeal to me at all i like the look of the Tiamat 2.2 better (Solid Black Cover).
Pros: Audio Quality - These boast a very full emersive 3D sound environment Music and game sound great you seriously can hear everything in your music... you just have to learn how to set your sound up a bit. Instruments and voices sound separated and clear as if the band is playing live for you. : )
Cons: The retractable mic build construction is just of horrible engineering quality. C'mon Razor you could have done way better than that!
Pros: Packaging, headset, and audio is Beautiful. Sounds amazing once you get everything configured. Good bass for a headset. Braided Cables. Easy to use Controller. Can switch between speakers and headset with the push of a button. Awesome for gaming. Music has quality bass in 7.1 mode. Easy to install. Fast shipping. slick and subtle mic. Audio cables that plug into your remote for your speaker plugs to go into.(No splitters needed)
Cons: No software so if you have 5.1 speakers you have to go into setting to change it from 7.1 to 5.1 every time you switch to speakers and switch back for headphones. If you're using a sound card (Recommended) it takes to configuring to get things perfect. Low end Mic quality, definitely nothing to use for recordings. works fine for gaming
Pros: Great bass response, and excelent range in the speakers, also I love the comfort lvl of this headset. I can wear it for hours and hours and feel no fatigue. The retractable mic is nice but rarely used. The quality lvl of the headset itself as far as a product is expectional. The braided cables, and the entire construction feel solid. Will update when I have owned it for over a year. Quality of sound is awsome.
Cons: Unless your computer sound card is set to since with the performance mode you are currently in with the headset then you can have issues. This is in no way a product flaw but this is why you see so many complaints about it in my opinion. IE. if the headset is manually set to 7.1, and the card is set to 5.1 then inherint issues arise, plus you have the windows controls to deal with on top of that. So I really belive alot of the complaints come from not realizing that t...
Excerpt: I upgraded from the Logitec G35 5.1 gaming headset which I have been using for two years. While the G35 is a great headset, the surround is still emulated so I decided to give the Tiamat a try since it uses real drivers to deliver the 7.1 experience. I was very impressed by Razer's presentation...
