Summary: Not really good for music, kind of low quality sound for the price. Can tell when someone is behind you quite well when set up.That said they refuse to plug and play with my on-board sound even though it is 7.1.So no rear channel and no mike.Makes them kind of useless in the long run.
The first time was because the mic was giving bad feedback and cutting out

Summary: I don't know why but I returned this headset TWICE. The first time was because the mic was giving bad feedback and cutting out, so then I figured it was a bad mic and replaced the headset.... The second time is because the mic cuts out yet again...
Summary: Ok I've been using these for awhile now. They are seriously comfortable, and only need a slight adjustment about every hour as gravity will begin to drag them down. If you play any games where you want to hear exactly where other players or NPCs are, this is the headset for you.

Summary: I just received this headset about a week ago, and here's my honest review of Razer Tiamat 7.1 Headset. Please note that I did not tested this headset with pci sound card. Used USB 7.1 Vantec external sound card. Sound Quality ㅡ Same as $ 10-30 earphone.
Summary: I must initially warn anyone considering this headset that if you are looking for a true multimedia product that works well with games, movies and music you should look elsewhere. You would be better served by conventional stereo headsets with a virtual surround feature.

Summary: There seems to be a misunderstanding where it comes to this headset. Audiophiles kind of love to bash them saying how low quality the sound is compared to their “bla bla bla” headset which cost “bla bla” It is obvious, this headset has many more speakers for each ear but they are naturally smaller,...
Summary: Tiamat 7.1 is the first real analog 7.1 surround sound gaming headset. Before purchase this headset, I have been doing a lot of research and reading many reviews about it. Praised by many professional reviewers, I decided to made my purchase.
... the right kind of connectors and audio controller was great! However
27 October 2012
Summary: The sound when hooked up to a PC with enough of the right kind of connectors and audio controller was great! However, there is a design flaw in the USB connector - it has no stress relief for pet collisions.
