The Razer Moray earphones are a nice option for mobile gaming fans and music fans looking for better audio performance while on the go. You can find more bass in other earphones, but the Moray offers a nice overall package.
Pros: Comfortable, Airline adapter, Good sound quality
Conclusion: Although the idea of stuffing earbuds into my ears isn't my idea of a good time on a Friday night, I was pleasantly surprised by the performance and comfort of the Moray's. The in-ear design made for great ear plugs even when my sound was turned off, meaning I was able to hear my games and music better without having to blast the volume. This was a good thing considering the sometimes-sloppy sound when the volume got to high.
Excerpt: The Moray didn't convince me to toss aside my set of over-the-ear headphones, but for laptop gamers or anyone who uses a portable music device this is a great step up in quality from the included ear buds. The best part is they carry a reasonable price tag.
Summary: During sound testing, the Razer Moray performed exceedingly well. The upper range had a crisp and clear sound. The sound was accurate and pleasant. There was no crackling at high volumes and no tinny intonation at high frequencies. The Moray's sound was especially impressive in delivering a lot of information without high volumes—it was easy to distinguish between various background tracks even when the music was quiet. The bass was also quite impressive.
Excerpt: We're no strangers to the gaming goodness that is RAZER products. After reviewing keyboards , headsets , mice , and speakers made by them, we've got a pretty good handle on how good their stuff is or can be. Today, we get a look and a listen at one of their new products made for the portable gaming market.
Conclusion: We decided to hook the Razer Moray ear buds up to almost every device we had to test the sound quality. We tested them on an Ipod, Ipod Knockoff, Nintendo DS, and PC. Then on the music devices, we listened to several hours of various types of music and some podcasts. On the Nintendo DS we played a game as long as we could stand the small screen, then moved to our favorite venue, the PC.
