Summary: I loved this headset for about a year - it had amazing sound quality and a perfectly clear mic, and it was only $150. Now it's a worthless piece of rubbish because Razer decided to use the world's flimsiest cable to connect the headset itself and the control brick, thus causing the left speaker to only work after fidgeting with the cable. They refused to replace it even though it's only slightly over a year old, so I'd say to avoid Razer at all costs.
Summary: The drivers are horrible for windows 8. they keep disconnecting. had to warranty it after 10 months because of the wire shorted out, now it has shorted again. if im going to drop 140 for a head set it better last. i have had a Logitech mouse for 2+years and it still runs great. Prolly going to get a Logitech head set now to replace this. It was a great headset when it worked but it dosent last so i wont buy again.
Summary: Ear cups are way too uncomfortable. Software had a god awful and HORRIBLE screeching ring sound on the microphone that only went away with drivers, and even then there was allot of white noise on the mic. Pod also get very hot for what basically seems like a volume control/digital mixer. My turtle beach DSS does the same thing, is about 25% smaller and lighter, and never gets hot. You cannot justify this headset for even $80, let alone $150.
Summary: This is a great headset except for one thing: the cable goes bad without fail, even when cared for very well. The cable went bad less than 2 months after I got it. Razer was nice enough to send me another one, which I was even more careful with. The cable on that one went bad even faster. Thinking I was just having bad luck, I contacted Razer again, and they sent me another one. Headset number 3 also failed, same problem.
Summary: Razer customer service rep said Megaladon has issues with USB 3.0. Headset. Razer customer service didn't even want to help problem solve why it wasn't working. They just said send it back to Amazon. I had to ask if it was compatible with USB 3.0.
Summary: Almost three weeks later the headset shorts out and afterwards barely works. Every time I plugged it into the computer the computer couldn't even recognize the software no matter how many times I went on line and downloaded the drivers. It was all over a horrible experience and its a shame that it doesn't work because the design is the most comfortable headset I believe I've ever owned.
Summary: hello razer work fine for 2 week then failed. razer told us too go back thru amazon dealer who did nothing but lie to us after we sent it back for another set. it took me almost 3 month too get my money back.

Summary: 3 months in, I'd starting getting static every few days and have to unplug/plug-in regularly to fix the problem. 6 months in, the lights went out. A few weeks ago, the right speaker stopped working. 18 months later, no lights or speakers. mic works though. I'm very careful with my peripherals: they stay on my desk and never travel. In 2 years I have 2 broken naga epics, a ferox, black widow ultimate and megalodon; and the customer service is aloof at best.
Summary: i bought these brand new and could not control the background hiss while recording gameplay with voice over for youtube...i would not recommend these to anyone, unless of course I wanted them to have poor quality
