Great surround sound headset. Better with Razer Synapse!
29 August 2015
Summary: So you want headphones that are surround sound, comfortable and very well made. The Razer Kraken 7.1 is what you want. Ive owned a fair few sets of headphones due to being a pc gamer. Ive owned Razer Kraken Pro, Logitech G430 and Turtlebeach as well.
Summary: Some people insist on stating that gaming headsets are a gimmick. I feel strongly against that because they fail to incorporate the convenience factor that comes with having a high quality mic and headphones in the same package. I owned a pair of Razer Kraken 7.1's for over a year.
Summary: I'm a basshead. I love deep, chest rattling sub bass on a massive sound system. These deliver, and with the bass boost feature in the Synapse driver you can push these to output the very lowest frequencies at very loud volumes. These things will vibrate your ears.
Summary: This is yet another product that costs more because of the brand. I have never purchased a Razer product that i was completely satisfied with, there is always at least one lingering issue that makes using it, a much less enjoyable experience.
Pros: First off, i am an owner of this headset, I just happened to buy it on another unnamed website. i value the New Egg community and that is why i am writing a review here, and not there. This headset look BEAUTIFUL, probably one of the best looking headsets I have seen, There are many options for c...
Cons: Despite what the product is called, the audio is NOWHERE NEAR 7.1 surround. sure its surround, but it sounds very muffled, I am guessing it is a lack of treble or the vacuum created by the ear cups. That brings me to another point, the ear cups are made of leather. This would not normally be a co...
Summary: Pros: Great in game sound. Not the best, but the sound is better than the Logitech G35, (it should be for the price) Plug and Play is great, the drivers installed easily without any extra work. Cons: 4-ft cord is too short. Ear cups are not "Over Ear" as described.
However if you are like 95% of the rest of us these are perfect

Summary: So let me start off with saying this, if you have invested in a high end sound card, these are not what you want. USB Headsets contain their own sound hardware inside them. However if you are like 95% of the rest of us these are perfect. I have my on-board audio disabled in BIOS.
Summary: I love my new pair of Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma's. They have many customizable options including Calibration, Bass Boost, and Ambient Noise Reduction just to name a few. One of the greatest things about them is there led's with 16.8 MILLION different colors to chose from to match your gaming...
Best Headphones for less then $100 that even out perform more expensive headphones.

Summary: I love these headphones. I was in the market for them to replace my worn out Turtle Beach Black Ops II headphones and I needed a better mic to do my youtube videos. These headphones replace 2 needs for me.
The karken headset is mediocre at best. The sound quality is fine

Summary: The karken headset is mediocre at best. The sound quality is fine, the mic quality is actually excellent. It's probably one of the best I've personally heard, especially for a USB headset. However this is also a razer product which means dealing with razer synapse.
Summary: To be honest, this is my first gaming headset, and it also is my first Razer gear. I really love this one. The sound is pretty good with awesome virtual surrounding sound. Its microphone is also great. My voice is weak ( because most of the time were at night ) but my friend can hear me clearly.
