Summary: Great headset, it looks amazing. Many reviews complain about it being flimsy but it seems to be of sturdy construction. The base stand / charger is an amazing idea and I love it. The microphone really is to sensitive though, I have it adjusted all the way low and my voice still seems loud over Xbox live. The headset does cause me comfort issues though. I never forget I am wearing it and after an hour of gameplay I get a headache; no matter how I adjust it.
Summary: I have liked a lot the sound quality of this earphone after some tweaks and adjustments at XBOX Configuration Menu. It's weel made and confortable to wear (by the way, I do not agree with some reviews regarding not fitting on big heads...I use Large Bike helmets for a refference and this earphone has suited me well).
Summary: I'm both and Xbox 360 and PC gamer so I needed a headset that would work for both. After a disappointing attempt with the Turtle Beach XP400s, I figured I'd give the Razer Chimaera 5.1 a try. In short, it does the job well but I needed some extra accessories and there were some quirks and cons to deal with. I'm giving it a 4/5 because of that. Below are the details: Feature Highlights: - AAA Rechargable Batteries.
Summary: its good if you only want to use for game audio and not game chat. I like it myself i use it for xbox 360, but is also compatible with pc for pc gaming. I believe they can work for ps3 but are not chat compatible and that is because they have to be plugged in to a xbox 360 controller in order to use game chat on xbox 360, but does not apply to pc that's just how voip works on a xbox 360. So overall there a good headset and i would recommend them for console gaming.
Pros: great suround sound, very simple controls, bult in eq
Cons: mic is too senitive, game chat volume way to low, a little large
nice headset just couple things i will say about it.

Summary: if your planning on useing this with the pc i wouldnt recommend it because for one it pushes your music or system noises through your mic i dont know why i been trying to figure this out for about a month now with the help of support from razer but if your going to purchase this i would get this for the xbox 360 as it is what it is designed for. other then that sound quality is really good.
Summary: -- If this stuff is way too long to read, scroll down to the Pros/Cons section. I mostly detail the problems in the lengthier part and provide some small solutions to otherwise offset what I listed as cons for this headset :) Some "make sure to note you have" things as well -- -- Background Information: I received my Chimaera 5.1 headset on Saturday, Oct. 1st of 2011.
Summary: I'm not a stranger to gaming headsets. No headset is perfect, but the Chimaeras are dangerously close. I've just finished using mine for the first time. The Chimeras are very slick looking, and have a nice weight. The basic design is nice: a wireless headset with a charging dock that handles all of the Dolby 5.1 processing. The headset itself is of solid construction, with cushioned cups, and two cushions on other side of the headband.
