Summary: Honestly for the price I got it I don't mind it at all. To me these things are a 5 star rating, I already had some extra cables laying around and knew I was going to have to rig it up abit to make it work in my system, but to someone spending 200 bucks only to find out they need to buy more cables just to get a simulated 5.1 experience without the use of their microphone, I can see how it might be a little bothersome.
Pros: First off, I'd like to admit that I didn't get my Chimaera from Newegg. I was able to get a pair second hand for a great deal. That being said i'm still fairly pleased with the overall performance. I received it with what i think were the original batteries and drained as they were they still provided a few hours at a time. Thank goodness you can use any AAA rechargeable though.
Cons: The set up to get surround sound on PC is a bit laborious. If you have an optical jack I suppose you just plug it right in and you're good to go. But if you want 5.1 surround with a pc and you only have rca cords then it takes a bit of tinkering.
Good sound quality, battery life should be a lot better

Summary: The sound quality of the headset from playing Call of Duty MW3 and Black Ops 2 is great. You can hear footsteps easily with Sitrep Pro and Dead Silence/Awareness. However, the battery life is awful, I can't get more than 2 hours of gameplay with these on before I have to recharge it. The microphone works well too, just if you were wondering about that. I would recommend another headset because for the price, the battery life should be a lot better.
Summary: Good overall headset. I would recommend getting your own SPDIF, RCA and 2.5/3/5mm cables if you do purchase this headset. Cables bundles are short and are not shielded well. Feedback is a certainty picking up humming either from your PSU or other moving parts on your PC/X360. Base station is large, but not unsightly with nice red glow and very clear LED notifications on the charging bar. Which leads to final gripe, it is rather inconsistent when fully charged.
Pros: Nice carbon fibre aesthetic, great range, multi use between PC/X360
Cons: Base station is large, cables bundled rather short, difficult to run SPDIF and voice chat on PC, inconsistent holding of charge from battery.
Summary: I want to love this headset, but a few things just fall short, despite Razer's claims to the contrary. First, the batter life is literally half of what it claims. Razer says 8 hours, but I barely get 4 before it starts beeping at me. Second, and most importantly is that the voice chat volume is way, way too quiet. Even with voice maxed out in the xbox menu and the "independent" voice control turned all the way up, it is still drowned out by the game sound.
Pros: Excellent sound quality for movies and games.
