Summary: I did not use it as a gaming headset, but as a movie headphone. Kept my parents quiet for a while. Actually bought the wrong item. I didn't know they have these as a 2.1 config. Actually saw these as a 5.1 headset. But it still packs a punch. Comfortable and light even when they are big. Good for prolong wearing. Easy to setup and pairing.
Summary: I needed a wireless headset (headphone + microphone) in order to get rid of the cables from the PC in my living room. I also looked for a headset that would recharge when you simply put it down on its cradle - plugging a USB cable into the headset just for recharging is nonsense these days. The Razer Chimaera fits the bill. It is wireless, and charging does start when you merely put the headset down on its cradle.
Summary: Who can tell me how to connect it with a laptop? I spent almost 1 hour to try to connect it to the laptop, but it is still does not work. I have install all the items. Who can help? Please answer my question.
Summary: Pros: +Average sound quality +Wireless +Charging mechanism is innovative Cons: -3.5mm connections does not fit snugly -Headset is a little tight -Microphone quality is very poor Review on: Chimaera Wireless Gaming Headset Purchase Date: October 2012 Purchase Price: $103.76 The sound quality is about on par with other mid range headsets. Summary: I purchased the razer chimaera under the impression that it was an awesome mic set for both the xbox and the PC. I have been a longtime Razer addict and thought it looked like a great investment. I figured since I do not play too many FPS shooters where surround really matters I would save the extra cash and buy the stereo version. Biggest mistake of my life. The mic itself was awesome, sounded great and my voice was heard very clearly.
